Water broke 20 weeks
They can try to save her if they wanted. There is a baby on fb right now that was 4 months early and he is still alive. He has been fighting for a month now and he is still here. Granted if he stays fighting, he will stay in the hospital until June. He is just now at 2 pounds and he was 1.4 pounds at birth. Don't give up hope and I am hoping to hear good news from you. God can do anything.
Praying for strength for you and your husband as you go through this.
Are you having contractions? Are they trying to stop them? I am by no means an expert in anything to do with premature delivery and/or your water breaking, but I believe about 1 1/2 - 2 years ago, there was one woman here who's water broke around 21 weeks. She was hospitalized while they tried to keep her from delivering for a few weeks...I think she made it to about 24-25 weeks - and delivered her little girl...and her little girl made it.
I don't want to build up false hope for you - and unfortunately, the chances of your daughter surviving are very slim - but if possible, check out speciality hospitals with very good neo-natal units and see if any of them would accept you and at least try to stop the delivery of your baby girl for a few more weeks to give her a little more of a slim chance.
Whatever happens, though, please know that despite what certain people have said - and what others have clapped about and approve them saying - you are NOT responsible for what is currently going on. Your little girl is in God's hands right now - the best place she could possibly be. Even if you had done 'everything right,' there is no guarantee it would have prevented this from happening.
Though I have been through many miscarriages myself, I have never been through them at an advanced stage in the pregnancy. That said, if there's anything I can do to help or if you need someone to talk to, please PM me. I live in Bulgaria and am EST + 7 hours...but I'll definitely get back to you.
