I saw my OB today for a regular check up.  BP was awesome, had gained 1 lb which actually brought me back to even 0 lb gain/loss, and baby had good heart tones.  I will be 31 weeks tomorrow.  The dr told me I would start seeing him every 2 weeks now, BUT, I will be going weekly for an ultrasound and non stress test.  He said he wasn't worried exactly, but wanted to be super cautious.....I was just curious, anybody else have weekly NST/us before?

I did with my daughter and it saved her life! Her heart rate kept dropping to the 80's during the NST and that is why they took her by emergency c-section at 32 weeks. It can be a pain having to go in that often, but it can help if there is a problem!

I also have to start going twice a week to get those and have to see my surgeon once, and my OB twice weekly! It's exhausting but she is worth it! I know I will have such a peace of mind every week!

I had them twice a week with my last pregnancy, but that was due to GD (and before WLS).  They hook you up to the heartbeat monitor and give you a button to push every time you feel baby move.  I loved going in and listening to baby's heart.  I only failed one test....and after that test...my baby was delivered with in 6 hours (OB did a biophysical profile as well after the failed NST....and we failed that test too.....wasn't just the NST)......the NST is a "wake up" call so to speak if there is anything going on that baby doesn't tolerate.

I did them twice a week starting at 33 weeks.  I enjoyed the peace of mind and the little glimpses of my little girl!
