Respect

I recently had a person disrespect me on one of my posts yesterday and I just wanted to make a general post for everyone. We are all grown and therefore should act like grown women. You are not obligated to read or respond to anyone's posts. People deal with different things in different ways so my advice to everyone is to respect others and if you dont like what they write.....dont read it. Its just that simple!

I am surprised you feel you were disrespected. I have been on this board (well site) for 3+ years and someone rarely gets "bashed/disrespected" .

First let me say, Im sorry you feel this way. I read the post that Chelle posted on your "Team Pink" post.  I dont think she meant for it to sound as though she was being disrespectful. I think it was more concern for you and the baby.

Please remember alot of the ladies here have struggled for years to get pregnant and they take it very seriously (not that you or I dont).

I am one of those people that lurks and reply occasionally if there is some way I feel I can help or make sense of something. Which is rare, but I feel like someone not agreeing with you or coming off a little more harsh than you would have liked to read isnt being disrespectful.

You are 100% right, it is a public forum and anyone can post, comment, and read whatever....so dont be surprised if not everyone is 100% supportive.

Im tickled you are having a girl, I have a little girl and they are SO much fun!! Hope everything continues to go well for you. God Bless.

If you are surprised that I was disrespected after reading what chelle wrote then I am shocked. I have been trying to get pregnant for over 5 years so I can relate to alot of others on this board. Chelle was definitely trying to hurt my feelings. Why did she bring up a personal blog post that I wrote? I dont know her and she doesn't know me. There was no need for her rudeness. Also I wasn't asking for advice on that post so she didn't need to leave any.

Thanks for your response.

Im sorry you felt that way again.  I certianly will never disrespect anyone. Have you tried to contact her personally and ask what the problem is?

Chelle does sometimes come off a little brash (Chelle if your reading this I dont mean that in a bad way) She responded once to one of my posts and my feelings were a little hurt, but later on I realized she was just concerned. She has since then been very supportive and caring on any posts I make.

Again, Congrats on your litle girl!  Dont hesitate to post if you have questions. We are all here to help and support.  Someone will answer your questions.

I agree with Trouble on this one. I think maybe Chelle was kinda asking how the baby is doing other than the fact that you are having a girl (congrats BTW). Also if you read on some of her post she is going through a whole lot of crap that I would not wish on anyone! Not that it is an excuse, but if I added that all with pregnancy hormones, I would probably come off like that as well. I am sure all of us would in some way

As far as her comment on the eating trash... I will admit, I ate a lot of garbagy foods while pregnant! So I would crave sweets and I was so against eating artificial sweeteners during pregnancy. It pays off though because I have a very happy healthy baby! I do not know if it was because of my food choices, but as a mother you know what is right for your child. Sure I also gained 65lbs but to me it was worth it! I also lost 35 of it already and my baby is only 7 weeks old. I was just cleared a week ago to go ahead and work out. I am waiting for my new workout video to arrive, so once it does, I am so going at that.

Nothing excuses her rudeness. I'm going through stuff too but that does not give me the right to attack people. However, I get what u were saying. Congrats on your new baby!

This is a public forum. So, two things: first, whatever is written is, in fact, only written, which means there are no vocal inflections, body language, facil expressions, etc., to help communicate how the words are intended to be read, so posts are sometimes read diferently than the writer may have meant. And second, it's going to be much easier for you to use the "block" button if needed than it will be for anyone to try to make everyone play nice - it just isn't reality (especially with such emotional topics, raging hormones, and all that jazz).
