Update 10 weeks out

Just a brief update on what's going on with me....

10 weeks out and the baby looks healthy. Cletus the Fetus is moving like a champ, but I, on the other hand, am not. Morning sickness and low blood sugar are still reigning supreme.  I almost passed out at the grocery store yesterday but managed to get to the car before that happened.  The cramps are still around but not radiating down my hips and thighs like a few weeks ago.  My last weigh in I lost 2lbs, so right now I'm +3 for the trimester.

I'm fatigued and not managing it very well.  I get up 3-4 times a night to pee and I can't fall back to sleep.  I also find myself hungry about every 1 to 1.5 hours.  Dr said this is normal and to eat, but it's so hard to get into the mindset of eating all the time when I haven't worried about it for a year.

I'm really busy with work and school.  No rest on the weekends since my social calender has ramped up.  I haven't told any of my friends yet, so I will be disguising my new 42H boobs until Easter.  I got fitted for a maternity bra and went from a C to an H.  Husband is happy with that change but I feel like I'm carrying 2 bowling balls on my chest.

Today, my hubby and I went and looked at cribs, strollers and car seats.  Just to get an idea of the cost.  Now I'm really nervous about this baby.  I didn't realize how much I didn't know until I got pregnant.  Being a FTM at my age (34) did not give me an advantage I can see at this moment.  Not depressed!  Just really nervous.

I'm on a mini-vacation this wee****il Thursday.  Trying to get caught up on homework and sleep.  I can't wait until school is over.

My 1st OB exam is Monday, whick will make me 11 weeks.  I took the day off from work because it sounded exhausting and I didn't want to have to wor****il 8pm that night.

That's it for now.  I'll try to update soon, but with my schedule ramping up it may not be as often as I like.  Thanks for all the support.

I'm sorry you are not feeling well....however it is GREAT news that your baby is healthy! I know your sickness will pass!

Wow! from a C to an H!! Thats a huge difference....but once that baby comes it will all be worth it! Get some rest on your mini-vacay!  :)

Grats! "cletus the fetus" is hilarious.

Don't be nervous. A lot of the baby stuff out there isn't nessesary. For the first couple months all you need are boobs (or formula), a carseat, a safe place for the baby to sleep, diapers and some onesies... everything else is mostly extra junk you'll be looking to sell as the baby outgrows it. lol

It's funny you mention your DH being exicted about your boobs.... my DH is thrilled with my "porn star" E cups. I was a barely a B after loosing weight from WLS... jumping to an E was crazy ( I was a C prior to WLS).

Good Luck!

bwahahahaha on the "cletus the fetus" comment.  Too funny!  sorry ur still feeling icky but it sounds like you're not throwing up every hour on the hour anymore *hopefully*.  And very good news that the baby is coming along nicely.  Wowzers that u went from a C to an H at just 10 wks.

Enjoy the few days off, good luck and keep us posted.

Our little miracle baby boy is on his way!

Something that can help with the sleep problem is occasionally taking some Benadryl in the evening.  Take it around 8 or 9, if you take it too late you'll feel like you're waking up from a swamp sleep in the morning.  But it can really help you get deeper sleep and fall back to sleep much faster when you wake up to go the bathroom.  Benadryl is perfectly safe during pregnancy and its what most doctor's reccommend if you're having sleep issues.
