Hi girls. I am enjoying all the posts and updates. I challenge each of you to come on back during the week and support one of the girls that is having a rough time, or is experiencing something we have. Some common terms:

TTC - trying to conceive
BFP - big fat positive (positive pregnancy test)
BFN - big fat negative (negative pregnancy test)
CD - the day of your menstrual cycle
O - ovulation
DPO - days past ovulation
LP - luteal phase (time from ovulation to period)
AF - aunt flow ( your period)
PG - pregnant/pregnancy
MC - misscarriage
RE - reproductive endocrinologist
OPK - ovulation prediction kit
CL - coverline ( for those taking their temps to confirm ovulation)
Met - metformin or glucophage ( a diabetes medication sometimes taken to help hormone levels and ovulation)
BD - baby dancing ( having timed intercourse)
DTD - doing the deed
IUI - inter uterine insemination
IVF - in vitro fertilization
PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome
POAS - pee on a stick (taking a pregnancy test)
2WW - two week wait...time from ovulation until you can test for pg

Hi!
We still have 3 months before we officially TTC but, I bought some dip sticks from Amazon to see if I am ovulating. They scared me!
So, they will probably stay in the box a few more weeks!
We tried for so long to have Logan; I just do not want the heart ache.
I know that is not new but where is the book for :
"What to Except When You are Expecting Failure Again, While TTC~"

Well I'm ovulating LOL! I'm using my clear blue easy monitor and the egg showed up!!! So her is to BD!!!!!

I didn't need to test because AF showed up on Monday! Witch!!!  Will start OPK's on Tuesday and the BD'ing will start on Wednesday!

Just use my screen name. we are TTC#1 have been for 7 years but now actively trying post op, no meds, using tracking, opks and pre seed! Here's to lots of bding and lots of baby dust!!

We are trying to decide if we want to TTC #2. We have had such a hard time with Aiden and it makes us think "can we handle another one". We also have all the normal concerns: my age, affording two, me not working and being home with an infant and child under 2, etc. If we are going to try, we have to get to it due to my age.

I feel ya.  My son wil be 5 this year and we really thought we were not going to go for two... Now.. look who started trying in January?  And my age is also a factor.  I'll be 42 in June.  LOL  GL with your decisions. 

no dont' use an opk (or at least not yet).  Since I've lost the weight i'm fairly regular.  :-) 

This last one was a slow rise in the temp which is new for me.  but.. Looks like we have a good shot.  O'd on or about the 23rd.  We had the 'swim team' get in the pool day before, day of and day after.. (just in case .. ).   

so this will be our second 2ww.   Here's hoping
