First of all to goal 160 and the others who actually read what I wrote. Thank you so very much. The others of you with the ridiculous nasty attitude didnt even bother to actually read my words carefully.I am very dissapointed and hurt that some of you who would jump to attack mode. READ MY QUESTION before you jump to pass judgement on me who is a mother who lives solely and completely for her children and their health and well being!!!!! I clearly stated that I know weight loss is not important right now. My question was, in your experiences will I start to lose again AFTER I deliver. How dare you attack me like that?If you're going to spew your negativity you need to make darn sure its warranted and that perhaps you havent misread or missed something in a post. Like I said, to goal160 and those others who actually answered my question. thank you. it is because of you that people come here for support. Thank you for your kindness!

Oh for chrissake...what the hell do you want from a bunch of strangers (this was the 1st time you had posted here) who admits they got pregnant a month out from surgery, then comes across as complaining because her WL has come to a stall? Because I read your post a few times and that's how I saw it.. What the hell did you have WLS for if you were going to put yourself in that position immedietely? Did you think that 9 months of pregnancy was a prime time to lose 100lbs? Did your surgeon NOT tell you to use birth control for at least a year? Do you want us to feel sorry for you because you are no longer losing? Assure you that you will lose again ASAP when your baby comes? I have been posting here for a year and sorry, but that doesn't always happen. I did give a decent reply in your original post but now I am giving it to you straight.....grow the **** up. Don't get snarky with everyone who has questioned your priorities.
Hope that helps :)
Hope that helps :)
first of all, you werent one of the ones I was referring to and i think that I thanked you for your advice on the original post so im a bit surprised now to be getting this response from you.
I have posted here before a few times, more on the sleeve site over the past 2 1/2 yrs. Do you really think I wouldve gone through what was a 2 year process for me (after a denial the day before my 1st scheduled surgery) to get pregnant on purpose? that would be stupid.
I had no intention of EVER having any more children, especially at my age, with a history of cervical shortening and after a life altering surgery. please dont talk to me as though Im an idiot. Im a 38 year old mother of 2 with 2 masters degrees working on a PHd who made a major life decision to have this surgery and was using birth control just as my doctor advised. I did not want to be pregnant and was shocked and terrified when I found out. My birth control failed as happens to many women after weight loss surgery. This I was not aware of. I was just told to make sure to use it and I did. to answer your numerous sarcastic questions
1) No, i did not think it was a good time to lose weight and I dont care that Im not losing weight now. this is clearly stated in my post.
2) I WAS using 2 forms of b/c and only had I/C once!
3****rtainly DID NOT IMPLY that I wanted anyone to feel sorry for me- I was wondering about weight loss after my precious baby girl is born. That was it. I was simply asking if anyone else had a similar story and could share their experiences.
Im very surprised at the anger & hatred that is coming at me from a few of you because I was wondering about weight loss AFTER pregnancy. A bit irrational really.
You totally missed the point of my post and if anyone needs to grow the **** up as you so maturely put it, it is you !

Ok, you were using 2 forms of birth control and only had intercourse once? Yet you had a WLS that has NO malabsorbtion? Ok. I totally believe that. My faith in Santa Clause and instant conception has now been restored. Maybe the Easter Bunny will come too, who knows!

I am sorry that you were attacked for asking a normal weight loss question here on this board. I am starting to rethink using this board at all with all of these harsh comments people are leaving other women. This is a SUPPORT group people. It's okay to have opinions but gee-sh, show some tack and maturity! I am starting to feel scared of even leaving any questions on here myself!?
To the previous poster...PLEASE get your panties out of a bunch and go take a much needed nap. You may find that helpful with your pregnancy hormones and all out of wack. You don't have to cuss anyone out because you woke up with a mood swing today. Find something else to do with your day hon. Let's not forget this is a pregnancy support website but also it is overall the OBESITY HELP support website. All she is doing is asking a weight loss question for AFTER her baby is born! I am sure she didn't plan this pregnancy this way as I know I did not for my own. I used protection and conceived and I wouldn't change it now or ever how my daughter came into this world!! Still this website is used for supportive questions and shouldn't be used for "mean girl" comments. She is obviously curious as to weight loss after she has her baby! This is a very normal question! I would ask this same question on here whether I was 7 months out from surgery or 18 months out!
To your question...I had RNY on Sept 15th 2009 and found out I was pregnant by Mother's Day of 2010. Had my healthy adorable baby girl on January 8th of 2011. I lost 13 pounds in my first trimester and not because I was "trying" to still loose weight, but I had horrific "all day sickness" (rather than morning sickness). I gained the 13 pounds back plus 13 more throughout my pregnancy. (26 pounds total) In the first two weeks after having my baby I lost 20 of the pounds. I did not diet after my baby was born, and continued to eat the same way. Which I was told the 20 lb loss was normal from my OB. I have lost the remaining 6 pounds since then and am now continuing to still loose weight. I did eat more carbs while I was pregnant and I did indulge when I had a craving. I figured pregnancy cravings were normal so why not! I am now on a low carb intake as I was before pregnancy. Also I was 19 pounds to goal weight before pregnancy and am now only 15 pounds away so I do feel it is possible to loose weight after 40 weeks of pregnancy. Your stomach(if you had the RNY) will not stretch back out, but even like the surgeons will tell you you WILL regain your appetite back more so later out after surgery. My appetite came back around 12-15 months out. I am now 18 months post op. So after this happens you can't expect your surgery to fix everything and just loose the weight as before. You'll still need to make healthy food choices which may be a little harder if you are further out post op and you did get pregnant sooner than the recommended 12-24 month wait. Also my bariatric group has Registered Dietitians and Therapists to help. Ask for as much support as you need from your office is my best advice! That's what they are there for.
Good luck with your pregnancy and I pray that you have a healthy 9 months and healthy baby! God Bless!

Thank you so very much for your kindness and support Theresa. Its nice to hear from an intelligent woman who actually GOT the intent of my post. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my actual question and share your experience. The whole point was, had I not gotten pregnant I wouldve expected to lost 100 pounds within the year, obviously that isnt going to happen and Im fine with that. Being pregnant wasnt in my plan but it happened (on B/C) and my main concern is, of course, my baby. I really just wanted to know if my weight loss would probably pick back up after the baby or if it would be as though Id never had the surgery. i realize everyone is different but was just looking to hear other stories. I really appreciate you giving me that. The information youve shared was very helpful. Congratulations on your new baby girl. Im sure you are really enjoying her. I cant wait. june cant get here soon enough. god bless you too and thank you again for your kindness. l know you are busy with a newborn and your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely, Tracy
Sincerely, Tracy

kudos for all your degrees... i think that if you would have read thru the previous posts you would have found your answers as well... there is no promise you will continue to drop weight after the baby is born... you must work your "tool" and continue your self control and pre-pregnancy eating habbits... but honeslty i think you knew all this.. again this site is filled with very helpful info.. go back thru the post and read them.. alot of your questions will be answered... and i did read your post... multiple times... it sounds like you were upset because you havent lost ..this is what you said
I had lost 45 when i found out I was pregnant and lost 20 more between that time and December. I have lost NOTHING since that time. I havent gained any either which is great but my weight has been exactly the same
see what im saying.. it sounds like you were upset about your lack of weight loss...
