Hi Kor! Congratulations on being a baby post op. Enjoy this time of discovering the new improved you. I know wanting a baby is a hard thing to suffer, but hopefully you will get your dream when the time is right. I have pcos IR. I lost 133 pounds after wls for the main reason of ttc as previous efforts and treatments didn't help. After the allotted time of waiting after surgery I still had pcos, still had IR. I don't mean to discourage you, but even thin people have PCOS. Yes, in a lot of cases wls helps tremendously!! There are tons of girls I have seen over the years that have had success with wls and then pg. I went through several fertility treatment rounds after wls to no avail...but I was also dealing with male factor and IUI as hubby had super low sperm counts. I believe 2 things strongly in my heart of hearts. I would not have the 2 beautiful blessings in my siggy if it weren't for wls and for metformin. I got pg on a cycle break from other medications and IUI because I was on a 2 month jury duty trial...and we got pg. Then really just so happy with my daughter and never wanting treatments again I went to my regular doctor and asked to be put on metformin once again to regulate my cycles. NEVER expected my son with our male and female fertility issues...but there he is. Now I am 40, still struggling with weight loss issues associated with pcos and ir and seeing a specialist to lose my baby weight. I have my tubes tied and I am on birth control as well to regulate my cycles to help with weight loss. PCOS just plain sucks. I wouldn't wi**** on my worst enemy. Why am I telling you all this...only because I wish someone had warned me ahead of time that the pcos might still be an issue. I want to inform you but also show you a huge glitter of hope...actually 2 glitters. My kids are my miracles and miracles do happen! Don't give up hope okay!! But, stay grounded and know that it 'may' still have to be worked on. God willing things will resolve with wl. I will be around if you feel like chatting. Also, the ttc post has a small following really. A lot of the people on the list aren't around the board in general anymore but I leave them on the list out of respect for if they come back. I would say to repost your intro as a main topic on the pg board and you will get a lot of responses...probably all the pcos success stories. I think it would do you good to hear the bright side! Amazing! ty for sharing! PCOS and IR do suck! I was so happy to see that you had beautiful miracles! Huge ray of hope for me...but yes, you're right. I need to keep in mind that we may still need assistance even after WL. Just hoping, praying, and crossing everything we have that parenthood is in our future! tyvm for ur response, very happy to have read that :D

We were a bust for last month but BD'ing starts in a couple days.  (although I'm still rocky on my O'ing so that could go on for a weekish. )  Oh darn.

Good morning -

I have a feeling this cycle is a bust already. I have a feeling the Clomid didnt work and I'm back to Clomid Resistant. So we will skip this next cycle and then possibly start femara.

Baby dust to all.

This is all great to read - thanks to all who participate! We will start TTC in mid-late July (we are taking a trip in July, and I don't want to be PG for the trip), and there is SO much information to try to soak up!
