Hi girls. I have the updated list. Welcome to our new posters. How has this week gone for you all?? If anyone has changes to the list or wants to be added, let me know. Shari

Maryn ~ I saw a bfn post, but wondering if af did show after all?
Jackie ~ Welcome to the list. And yes, like I tell all my mommies of youngins... you are crazy. Lol You posted somewhere that you miss having an infant and I just had to laugh...hon you still have an infant, a tiny little one! And it is tough having 2 close in age. Prepare for no sleep. But, more power to ya. Who knows...if I were younger... Good luck! kup

Yes, AF showed up the day after I got the BFN. So we are going for it 1 more cycle on our own (well... sort of!) before we head to the fertility clinic. Problem is that my ovulation ranges from day 14-18. O can't 2 days earlier than expected last time and we AI'd after I O'd.
So this next cycle we are DETERMINED to get pg. Jill is lining up several donors and we're going to AI daily for literally 8 days! We won't know exactly who the bio father is but we don't care at this point. We are READY to get pregnant!

Hello!! Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted on a TTC board. Unfortunately, TTC is on hold for us because im a baby post-op (just had RNY on 3/16/11) and my surgeon advised me to wait at least two yrs before trying again. So, I'll be rooting you all on while I focus on weight loss and health gain! BUT, becoming parents is something we have been trying to achieve since 1998, and I'm hoping that my fertility will improve with the weight loss, which is why I'm here to see how WLS may have changed your lives for parenthood.
Here's a little about me:
My name is Chanel and I'll be 31 in a couple weeks. I was diagnosed with PCOS in April of 2002. I've tried clomid (which almost ended very badly for me. I developed endometrial hyperplasia and nearly lost my uterus! I had 3 DNC's to clear that up...very scary for me. This was 2006). I was put on Metformin to help with my insulin resistance, which was a major contributor to my weight gain. In 2008-09 I was on Follistim injections. We tried 3 rounds. First round no follies, second round I had follies but none really wanted to mature, and then the third round I got ONE 18cm follie...but it didn't take. That was our last round of injections. After that, my job at the time changed insurance carriers and fertility treatments were no longer covered :( So, we were forced to stop and go back to hoping it will happen naturally. Of course it didn't, but what did happen was I came off ALL the meds and during the course of that unmedicated year I gained over 100lbs!
So, last March, when I finally was able to obtain some insurance coverage, I had enough of all my health problems. Things became increasingly difficult and it seemed to creep up on me. My legs developed pitting edema, I had hypertension, pulmonary hypertension, EXTREME hypoxia and sleep apnea...I was in the worst shape of my life. I walked into my local clinic and simply said, "I need WLS, tell what I need to do to get it." And here I am today. I cannot WAIT until I can stop taking all these medications, can take a shower without feeling like I just ran a marathon, and can move around without feeling so yucky...
And of course, I'm hoping and praying with all my might that in a couple years, when I'm down to my goal weight and my body has evened out and is healthy enough to carry a pregnancy, that I will in fact concieve!
I am noticing that there's still a lot of trying here, so I'm wondering...has losing the weight not helped? Or are there other conditions still preventing conception in some? Forgive me, I do not want to offend anyone, it's just that my hopes were pretty high that fertility will drastic increase with WLS and I want to hold on to that hope and actually LIVE it in a couple years.
Thanks for listening, I'm sure I'll be hanging out here a lot!
