Male fertility improves with. Weight loss!

My surgeon said today that it's better that I went first before my husband because weight loss in males after wls improves the quality Of the sperm and his fertility increases. His surgery is April 1st. We did have sex a few time during my ovulation period but it's to soon to tell. I'm excited because having a healthy life and having babies and being able to be active with them is a dream for both of us! So I'm tracking everything and we'll really start trying in April. After he's feeling better and is able to resume having sex! It was good to hear the dr say that. DH's fertility will improve with the weight loss! I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers for sticky beans and healthy pregnancies!

That is good news.  Just let DH heal.  My bari surgeon told me no sex for 3 weeks after my WLS.  But that may be different for a man.  Not sure.  I would definitely ask DH's surgeon so you can plan accordingly.  Congrats on a phenomenal weight loss for you and good luck to your DH on his surgery and growing your family.

Thanks! Surgeon's guidelines about sex are generally after three weeks or when the patient is comfortable enough for sex.
