anyone get pregnant soon after surgery

i had sleeve surgery on 8/2/10 and found out I was pregnant in october  so i got pregnant in september. i know that was not supposed to happen and i wasnt planning on any more children ever, let alone right after weight loss surgery! with that said, now that the shock has worn off & we have adjusted we are thrilled and anxiously awaiting the arrival of our 3rd. my question is this. I had lost 45 when i found out I was pregnant and lost 20 more between that time and December. I have lost NOTHING since that time. I havent gained any either which is great but my weight has been exactly the same. I know that weight isnt the most important thing right now but am anxious to know what will happen after I deliver in June. Will my weight loss pick up again naturally? has anyone had experience with this that they could share? oddly enough, I lost 30 pounds during the last few months of my last pregnancy which was before my surgery & I was on bedrest in the hospital (might have been the hospital food) Just wondering if anyone else got pregnant early out and stopped losing but then started losing again after they delivered!!

you have got to be kidding.. you get pregnant 1 month out of surgery and it seems like the only thing your worried about is weight loss... that should be the last thing your thinking about...

ive read many of your posts before & have always found them to be very informative so I  was very hurt that you were one of the ones who totally missed my actual question & quickly passed judgement.

First of all to goal 160 and the others who actually read what I wrote. Thank you so very much. The others of you with the ridiculous nasty attitude didnt even bother to actually read my words carefully.I am very dissapointed and hurt that some of you who would jump to attack mode. READ MY QUESTION before you jump to pass judgement on me who is a mother who lives solely and completely for her children and their health and well being!!!!! I clearly stated that I know weight loss is not important right now. My question was, in your experiences will I start to lose again AFTER I deliver. How dare you attack me like that?If you're going to spew your negativity you need to make darn sure its warranted and that perhaps you havent misread or missed something in a poat. Like I said, to goal160 and those others who actually answered my question. thank you. it is because of you that people come here for support. Thank you for your kindness!

here we get daily posts of us early out moms worried we haven;t gained anything, and she flaunts that its a good thing. I stress out DAILY about this baby (even without the bedrest) getting enough nutrients, and here she is hoping to still lose weight....Some people's kids I tell ya...

Quoting why we said what we said...

" I had lost 45 when i found out I was pregnant and lost 20 more between that time and December. I have lost NOTHING since that time. I havent gained any either which is great but my weight has been exactly the same"

NONE of that says you care more about health of baby than your own weight loss. NOTHING. My issue was that "I haven't gained any which is great". Really? That's great? Tell that to the tons of moms here that are desperate to gain weight while pregnant to make sure their baby is getting enough.

Obviously I know that "**** happens" and unplanned gifts are given to us. This is baby #4, and my husband's vasectomy was scheduled. That wasn't what any of us took issue with. Above is what I was bothered by.

I am not saying that it's not safe. I think you are being very defensive, when my concern was legitimate. No pregnant woman should TRY to lose weight while pregnant, WLS or otherwise. If it happens, and baby is still thriving then OK but it shouldn't be in intended outcome, right? SO when we see you making statements like the one I quoted (and was quoted to you in another post and you were understand at that point?), it comes off as if your biggest concern was that you haven't lost anymore since December. That is how this post read, and that is why I personally reacted the way I did. Even if I wasn't on bedrest, I would feel exactly the same way. (I honestly resent the implication otherwise)

It's great that so far you have not run into issues. I wouldn't wish any issues upon you. I was simply bothered by the way your post came off not just to myself, but others as well.

you apparently didnt read my actual question. I have been totally worried all through the beginning of my pregancy but have had a trillion ultrasounds and reassurance from many docs that my baby is 100% healthy. very sad that you would pass judgement so quickly when you obviously didnt even take the time to read my question.
