Vitamins
I'm 2yrs post-op and just found out I am preggers..looks like I'm about 8weeks. Anyone have suggestions on the best vitamins to take-curious if your docs reccomended the prenatals or to continue our "usual" ****tail of post gastric bypass vitamins.....anyone buy juice plus? Any suggestions welcomed (:
Hi. Get your labs done soon. That way if you are deficiant in anything you can start supplementing right away.
The usual ****tail of RNY vites sound good for now. Don't listen to any OB nurses who claim you only need 1 vitamin though. Get all nutritional advice from your WL surgeons office. Be sure to add some veggies and fruits in with your protien. Ketosis is bad for babies brain development. & drink lots of water.

COngrats to you!
My surgeon's office wanted me to change to a prenatal vitamin. My OB's office wanted me to stay on the bariatric vitamins, because they have more of everything... So i've been taking:
2 Bariatric Advantage multivitamins (started with Celebrate, switched)
1- b12
1- b6
1- folic acid
1- DHA
6- calcium citrate
2- Vit d (5000 units each)
1-2 Iron 60mg (Vitalady Tender Iron capsules)
