Luciana Rose is 2 months old already! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. She is a chunker, she weighed 10.8 pounds at her Pediatrician visit. So she has gained over 3 pounds since January! We have had some problems with Acid Reflux and she is now on Zantac. She also has very painful gas pains always in the evenings about every three days or so. She doesn't get constipated though and we burp her every 1-2 ounces. She eats about 3-4 ounces every two hours and she takes Enfamil A.R. but I also breastfeed some. The breastfeeding is mainly to soothe her as I didn't produce a lot of milk. Does anyone else have these same feeding issues or gas pains with their babies? It's so frustrating! I hate to see her cry in pain and Milicon drops are no help! I have tried different positions and even walked the halls with her trying to get the gas to move. She does pass it but it still isn't relieving all of the pains. Thanks for any suggestions!

That is the cutest babyIi have seen in a long time, and she looks really happy. Sorry I can't help you out with any of that other stuff, except have you tried playtex disposable nursers? The kind where you push the air out of the bag? They may help. But, she is a little doll :)

Try Similac Sensitive for Spit up...had the rice starch like the AR but is for more gassy babies.  It's the only thing my 7 month old would tolerate without severe gas pain and fussiness.  Also try Dr. Browns bottles..they are a lifesaver!

Dr. brown and platex vent aire bottles are good for gas reduction also I push on my babies tummy to help relive gas very gently of course and then pat her on the back and it helps her give me big burps and releave her gas. hope this helps. She is so cute by the way.

Your daughter is so precious. Luciana is sooo cute. My son is about to be three weeks old and is on the Zantac alreadyy for the reflux.  He has really bad gas but no pains that I can tell. He is currently on the Gerber Good Start. I honestly never thought it could be the formula causing the gas. I also was getting very little breast milk, I only get about 1 tablespoon-2 tablespoons out of each breast every time I pump. I still do it, at least he is getting something.  I see the pediatrician again next week, I think that I will mention switching the formula.

Could be something you are eating if you are nursing. I breastfeed only and if I eat something like onions, garlic, anything acidic like tomatoes, it will give him gas. the rule is, if it makes you gassy, it will make the baby gassy. I do not know how much you do nurse during the day, but it could have something to do with it!.

She is really cute!

I've never posted on this board before but do lurk and learn from you ladies.

My nephew is 6 months and they use Gripe Water for his gas, it helps to calm the little ones down too.  Now I read somewhere that Gripe Water is for colic, which he doesn't have colic...doctor still recommended it and it works.  Worth a try.

Good luck!

p.s....your daughter is precious!

YES GRIPE WATER!!! I loved that stuff! We could only find it at toysrus when Bella was little but now CVS has it in there brand. It's worth the price and it takes away hiccups!!
