14 days and counting
Just wanted to share my 2 week wait....that is different than most :-)
Two weeks from today, I will be holding my baby boy!!!
We are scheduled for a c-section on the 23rd.
While I am so super excited to meet my baby Joseph, I am starting to be sad because I know it is almost over and since I will be having my tubes tied, I also know this is the last time I will experience this miracle.
I congratulate everyone who was blessed with fertility after WLS. I unfortunately did not experience that. I actually had more problems arise since WLS in the fertility department. That is sadly why this is my 2nd, and last. But I am so truly thankful, blessed, and in love.
Congrats to all!!!

So this baby truly is your miracle! Congratulations to you. Sounds like despite all the fertility issues you had getting pg this time, this little boy was determined to come into your life! Enjoy these last 2 weeks and lil Joseph will be in ur arms real soon. May you continue to be blessed with an easy birth and a lifetime of joy!
Thank you Maryn,
Your words are so kind and heartfelt. They bring tears to my eyes! Thank you. :-)
And yes, he is as much my miracle as was my first. I am truly blessed.
I wish you also the best. Lots of sticky sticky dust your way during your 2ww :-)
I love the idea of your shotgun wedding. Congrats!

YAY!! I'm sure you can't wait!! It really does seem like yesterday we all posted our announcements and were finding out the sexes- now, we have our little ones or are soon awaiting their arrival. I totally feel you on the issues of infertility...my guy was a total shock after 6 years pre-WLS and almost 4 years post op. This was my first and only as I had my tubes tied during my c-section as well. Congrats to you Momma!! :)
Thank you Kerri.
You are absolutely right. I remember the day we found out we were pregnant...I remember the day we found out it was a boy...the memories are so amazing and I need to get on the ball about writing them down so I can have them forever
Congratulations to you again!!! How is your little boy???
How is it having a boy after having so many girls in your house for so long!!!!
Since I'm having my tubes tied at the same time, how has recovery been? I bounce back pretty easily...I'm just curious to get an idea of what my down time will be...
Thank you and super congrats to you too!!!

Hey Jes! Landen is doing terrific!! :) Breastfeeding didn't work out for us, but he's eating Enfamil like a champ. :) He's such an amazing addition to our family dynamic. It's not my husband's first baby, but we are experiencing firsts together as he is the only boy in the family, so that's so nice to share together. The girls are over the moon in love with him and even though the pressed the envelope while the grandparents were here, we're settling back into what we now know as "normal" life. Landen sleeps through the night, wakes between 2-3am for his feeding and he's back out til around 6:30 when Daddy gets up and they get to spend about 15 mintues either cuddling or getting fed. He barely ever cries and is just the most content little bugger ever (KNOCK on WOOD!!!) hahaha
As for the tubal- I think the distinctive part is just the little twingy, pulling feelings on the sides of my pelvis. They're not so much painful (or I should say as long as you don't sneeze- that **** hurts LOL) but it's a minor ache thats manageable. My dr said this is due to them tying a stitch in the fascia, but it goes away. I'm 11 days out from surgery now and I'm up and about, driving, limited to lifting 15lbs and walking no more than 1 mile at a slow pace, my incision is all healed up and we're truckin right along. I'm a trooper too when it comes to someone trying to stop me or slow me down. I didn't over do it, but I didn't play the wuss card either. Big thing I was sure to do was to take my Motrin every 6 hours for the first 24-36 hours after surgery and I had a few Percocet in the hospital, but my pain has been manageable. I got a scrip for Percs for 20 of them and since I've been home...came home Tuesday night- 48 hours after surgery...I've taken just one. And to be honest that was just to relax me and help me sleep.
Best of luck in the upcoming 2 weeks and a speedy recovery as I know you will do well!! And holding that little guy in your arms in no time too :)
