Filthy Friday!!!!

Hi ladies! Hope your week is going great! TGIF.
No big rant this week....just wanna talk about....CRUSTY FEET! Filthy friday, indeed :)
I only had one pedicure and it was before I left to get married. Beforehand I was a bit paranoid that they wouldn't do a good job so I basically de-crusted my feet with my trusty pedi-egg before my appt. It was fun and I had brought my daughter and mom. my daughter was 11 and got a kick out of it.
So last weekend her loser of a birth-dad calls and cancels his visitation with her at the last minute (because his GF and HER kids are so much more important) so I was like WTF am I going to do with this girl all weekend? She does not enjoy busy loud places because of her disability. So I convinced her we should go get pedicures. Of course she picked out some hideous bright yellow polish & smudged it in the parkinglot... but whatever....she had fun.
So, my gross question is this....do you get pedicures? If so, do you sand your feet down first? Try and save your dignity before you get there? Because for the life of me I cannot bring myself to bring a big old crusty foot to shove in someones face and be like "get to work, girlfriend". I have seen some scary looking feet in there. I am sure they have an electric sander for some of the them.
So anyway, I did enjoy it and think I will go back once a month. It was very relaxing and my feet look pretty with purple nails :)  Definitely worth the $25.00 a month.

I love getting pedicures.  I haven't had one in a long time and it might just be time to get one, lol.  My daughter loves going too.  I don't sand my feet down first but I actually am pretty OCD about my feet and I put lotion and stuff on them just about every day to keep them from getting crusty, lol.  I have also seen some scary looking feet getting done.  My fiance actually has really gross feet.  They are really crusty and cracked.  He always tries to rub them on me, so GROSS!!  But he is really ticklish and cannot stand to have anyone touch his feet so there really isn't much I can do to fix them.

No big rant from me this week.  I am so excited because my fiance is actually coming home tomorrow.  He's been gone since Feb. 17th.  It's been too long.

Hey Chelle... I love me some pedis.  No I don't decrust my feet first.  I usually go once a month or so.  So my feetsies are in pretty good shape.  I'm all for the pampering.  Haha... just imagine when I'm pg!  Watch out honey!  I'm gonna be MORE of a princess than I already am! LOL

OK... my rant today... Um... I can't think of one at all.  Life is pretty damn good over here.  Wedding is in 50 days and we're inseminating in 2 days!  Yippee!  But here's a cute one from my nephew (who's 12 yrs old.)

Now, everyone in my life knows that I'm a butterfly.  It's my symbol of my transformation in my WLS journey.  I have a butterfly tattoo'd on my leg for every 10 lbs I lost... yes that's 13 butterflies.  We mailed out our wedding invitations over the weekend.  The verse on the invitations reads as follows:
Like a butterfly in a summer breeze, our hearts are uplifted by love.

Anyway... last night, my nephew said to Jill (my fiance) "Aunt Jill, how come there isn't beer on the invitation?"  Jill said "huh? what do you mean?"  Ethan said "well, there are butterflies on there for Aunt Maryn. So there should be beer on there for you!"  hahahahahahahaha... Ya Ethan knows his aunties!  Have a great weekend girls!

*trying to breathe as my rant JUST happened*

School nurse called to say "Your son is being beyond difficult and I refuse to deal with his antics" Myhusband calmly asks what happened, and finds that my son got a scrape on his back during his field trip. He has already overloaded senses (my oldest is on the autism spectrum) and she was trying to hold him down to put neosporin on his back.

Ok first, already overloaded and you want to put sticky cold stuff in a place on his body he can't reach. Do you want to make the day hell for his 1on1? And second, "you refuse to deal with it"? Really? This nurse has given us problems before, and my son HATES going to her office because he said she is mean to him. She rolls her eyes and calls him a baby.... So my husband tries to stay calm and says this is part of his autism and you don't really have a choice to "deal"...Her response, Oh yes I do and I won't deal with him. My husband immediately hangs up, grabs keys and is off to the school. Lord help that woman, she said the wrong thing LOL

Holy crap. If she cannot deal with something like that then she has no business working in an elementary school. I would complain to the school administration about her. What a jerk :(

OMG... I agree w/Chelle... call the adminstrator. That's just completely unacceptable!  She's the school nurse, right?  It's her job to deal with children that are hurt.  WTF?!?!  Let me at her!

That's a shame, but it doesn't surprise me. I just found out the other day here that the nurses in some of the schools are nothing more than aides. Are you kidding me??? I thought they had to be RNs or even an LPN for that matter, but nope...a Nurse's Aide!!! Our society and school systems are cutting corners every where you turn and it's a shame that this is what it has come to. I hope your husband put this woman in her place and then asked to talk to the principal and reemed him a new one too!
