I will NEVER let me child....
So what are some of the things before you had kids you SWORE you would never let them do, and now things have changed.
For me. I swore I wouldn't let my children watch TV. Well that went out the window almost immediately. Sometimes the only thing I can do is sit her in her walker while I vacuum or fold the laundry.
I also have a rule, my kids will not eat fast food on any kind of regular basis. So far so good, Sage has never had any fast food, even though some members of my family seems to think it's OK to give her french fries (I put the kabosh on that real quick)
Go ahead ladies, I wanna hear em.

The fast food was one for me. I stuck to it until my oldest was about 2 and a half and we were kicked out of our home and had to move in with my mom. She brought him home a happy meal, and I was pregnant, depressed, and not really paying much attention and she let him have it while I laid down. I cried for a bit, then got over it and now all three of my kids have had it, but usually only at grandma's and even then it's a very rare thing.
I also swore I would never yell....that went out window as well lol

Become a food addict. It doesn't mean she can't have treats or fast food, but I absolutely am teaching her the importance of having a balance of things in her life. I don't want her to have a negative relationship with food. As with all the things I feel strongly about (food, physical activity, TV,being respectful)- we have rules and limits. Some days are a lot easier then others.
There are a million I have not stuck to LOL but the one I do stick to is that I will NEVER use food as a reward. I will not offer them lollipops to b e good at the doctor, or use candy as a potty learning bribe, I won't hang desert over their heads to get them to behave, it taught me bad food habits and I won't have my kids learning the same lessons it took me so long to UNlearn!
