Hello Everyone

I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I joined OH over 2 years ago before I had my surgery and after having it and not returning for a long time, I decided to come back and totally forgot my login info. That being said I now have a OH account again and hgope to find a home on this board especially as I am almost 22 weeks pregnant. I had my surgery 2 years ago and suffered a blood clot in my lung and then alot of vommiting for months after. After getting over those hurdles we became pregnant about a year ago and lost the baby at 7 weeks. I am happy that we are lucky enough to havemade it these 22 weeks. This will be my 3rd baby or combining with step son this will be our 4th boy!. My kids are 18(mine), 14(stepson), 4, and now this one. when i was pregnant with both my boys I gained over 80lbs a peice and had big babies my first being 8lbs,2oz and second one being 9lb, 2oz. I wonder if it was my eating etc back then, and now this time I am quite pleased I've only gained about 17lbs!.

I wonder after we post WLS folks have more kids if they do tend to be bigger like the text book says with normal people or if it's like new body new situation? Any thoughts?.

Also havign that blood clot the dr wants to put me on ionmjectable blood thinners for the duration of my pregnancy which is scary. Ive nbever had a c section or anything with either of my boys but he says there is a risk being any bleeding internally would be a risk. such as if i were to have a placental abruption or something it could be fatal etc. io said what if i had to haver a c section he did say well if we take you off the blood thinners 12 hours or so before then it would be ok...well ok but i am assuming he's never heard of emergency c section then?...

So anyways now that ive blabbed on and on. if there is any ladies out there who can relate or you just wanna chat or share anything I just wanted to say hello to everyone!!!

I take lovenox injections every night for clotting issues. I have since week 11 or 12. I did with my last pregnancy also. We will switch from lovenox to heparin twice at day probably in a week or so now. Lovenox is a 24 hour lasting kind of thing and heparin is about 12 hours. There is something they can give to help stop the heparin from working but not the lovenox. Which is why the switch. Of course if an emergency thing happens they can just deal with what they have to and control the bleeding. Its just best to switch for heparin for time issues and being able to reverse it :) They know what they are doing :)
My pregnancies are always high risk which is why this is it for me. This makes 5 kids for us now and wow thats enough. My kids are 17, 12, 15 months and twins coming rather soon :)

I can relate. We have 3 boys and we both after losing our moms two years ago decided we would like to try for a girl. That being said no girl for us which is ok. I'm 35 almost, DH being 43. I would be willing to have just one more but convincing him will be the trick :) What are the genders of your kids and how are the older two with the young one?. Our 14 year old tolerates his little brother and can take him in small doses. The 18 year old is off at \university and barely comes home, but he isn't very close to his little brother so I anticipate this next one will be similar...

my first 2 were pre op, first one weighing 7 10, 2nd 8 11 and this one 1st post op was 8 16, they kept testing me for GD, but it never came back positive. So i do not believe that RNY affects baby size as long as it is a healthy pregnancy. At least for me it did not.
