New here
Hi ladies, I've been a lurker for a while but I have a question. I am about 15 months post op RNY and I have been getting faint bfp's for a couple days. DH and I have been trying for 4 years and have been through IUI, IVM, IVF, and FET with a m/c resulting from the IVF. Go figure I have an appt on friday with my RE that I scheduled a few months ago ( I knew I would have to go through tests again and wanted to get the testing done so it would be out of the way when the time came to go through treatments again) anyway, back to my question.....what should I be doing as far as vitamins? I didn't get a chance to call my surgeon today to ask but I will call tomorrow. Right now I take a chewable multivits 2x/day and chewable calcium 3x/day. I know I need folic acid but do you just replace one of the multivits with a prenatal?
Thanks in advance ladies!

Hi and welcome. Which chewable multi are you taking? If it is a special bariatric formula, it may be better than a prenatal. The most common ones are Bariatric Advantage and Celebrate. Regardless, I would still add an extra 400mg daily of folic acid and maybe 1000mg of D3. You should get a full set of labs draws through your WLS to see if all your levels are good. If you are deficiant in anything, now's the time to fix it. But that's a good place to start. Happy & healthy 9 months to you!
