To those of you in warm climates...
What do you use on your young ones for sun protection? My 2 1/2 month old and I are going to Florida, from Ontario (which feels like it hasn't seen the sun in 5 months, but thats another story).
The Doc said to use Ombrelle, but it says babies under 6 months, talk to a doctor. Not sure if that means its okay or not. I think I would rather use the sunscreen than risk a burn, but I am not sure.
Any experience would be appreciated!

There has been some research lately indicating a possible link between topical vitamin A and an increaesed risk of skin cancers. Nothing proven yet, but never hurts to be safe. This list will give you some names of brands that are free of the concerning chemicals and does include sunscreens for babies and children:

i used the spray on coppertone for babies... its spf 50.. and i re-apply every 3 hours unless they are swimming- they they get more then they come out of the beach/pool... i found an spf 70 but its not for babies.. dr said i could use it... i know they say put them in pants and long sleeve shirts and big floopy hats... well it was 88 degress yest and i was sweating awful in a tshirt/shorts... if your going to a zoo/theme park type place... get a spray bottle with a fan.. fill with water and spray down oftn.. they wont get cold.. leave the fan running at all times.. i live in florida- my kids were at the beach at 3 weeks old..
