My Birth Story -
Gina! Hayley is so beautiful as is Tyler. Such a beautiful family. Congratulations. About the troubles Tyler is having, I agree... set up some Mommy/Son time making him feel very special. Try to come up with somethings that he can do that "can only be done by him" as the big brother. He needs to feel important and needed. It will get better honey.
Been thinking about you and waiting for your update. Congratulations!!! Beautiful baby!
I am sure Tyler will come around . . . most of us have siblings and like it or lump it we all seem to make it through every single little thing and love each other (most of us). I love my sisters and brothers - no end and we've had all types of experiences together.
All the Best,
Leila

Girl I have been WAITING for an update from you! I am so thrilled your little girl is here. I bet she is enjoying her beautiful new room :) SO glad she is healthy and you are ok.
I guess Tyler just needs to be reasurred that your still his mommy and he is your #1 man. I am not familiar with the limits as to what you can do after a C section. But sounds like maybe he needs some mommy & me time away from home. Is there a Mcdonalds playplace nearby? Or maybe bring him to a Build a bear or something that will take less than an hour for the 2 of you to be alone? If there are any places like that nearby, can you leave your husband home with the baby and get out with just Tyler for a little bit? Like I said, clueless about physical limitations at your point in recovery. But....CONGRATS!!!! SO THRILLED for you guys!! XOXOXO

Hey Chelle!!! Girl I just have been exhausted and just getting around barely. Thank god for a helpful and supportive husband. You have given me some really good ideas to try with Tyler. My husband has military drill this weekend so Tyler will only have me, so it's a great opportunity to have him all to myself, make him my little helper, etc. I must spend more time with him, as I don't want him to feel left out.

Grats! Beautiful baby.
As far as sibling issues, I've found making "special time" for my twins really helps. The good thing about newborns is they sleep A LOT, that gves you some time to spend with just your older child.
Even when I'm nursing the baby, we have story time for the girls. They pick out 3-4 books and I read to them while the baby eats. That way they get something even when I'm involved with the baby.
Good luck. He'll adjust, it's just a big moment in his life and he's trying to figure out how to react. Be patient and give him extra cuddles to assure him he's still you're special little man.
