Could you tell...

Could you tell when the baby dropped?

Sunday I was laying in bed trying to relax after eating dinner out with my hubby and son-trying to get over HORRIBLE back pain...yucky pain enough I had to make my hubby drive home and was nearly in tears the whole way!!!  (by the way, is this normal??!?!?!)

Well, while lying there, I felt like a major shift and then felt the baby much lower. Is it possible he dropped?

I'm 35 weeks. Having my scheduled c-section 3 weeks from tomorrow.
The pain in my back is ugly.

Now, I'm not feeling the baby as much. I still feel him kicking/pushing my ribs with his feet...but he's been pretty mild as of today.

Any thoughts???
Thanks and big hugs!

Yes,you can tell. I knew with my boys. & it is normal to feel them move less afterwards too.

My 5 year old never dropped so it seems like everything is so new this time....things I didn't experience with him I am experiencing with this one and I almost feel like it's the first time all over again!

Thanks  ;-)

LOL! I know the feeling. Each pregnancy is different too. My  last one I really felt drop and I started leaking fluid and having back pain and more braxton hicks than usual. I ended up having him at 34 weeks.

I do truly wonder if this little guy is going to make it to 38 weeks...guess we'll see. 22 days and counting!!!

I did not get the back pain when the baby dropped. It was more pelvic pain. If the back pain is as horrific as you say, you should probably get checked out at L&D. A lot of women feel their contractions in their back and nowhere else. Take it very seriously, at this point along most dr's won't do anything to stop labor either.

Luckily it went away (took about 30-45 mins) and it still comes and goes a few times a day...but not as bad as that particular moment...
But I will definitely keep that in mind next time it happens...

Thanks!

Wow, 2 days?  Goodness. At least he sounds like he was healthy!!  6 pounds is good.

So far I've just been having back pain and frequent potty breaks. Like needing to go every 30 minutes and total bladder emptying. I can't walk without stabbing pains (between the legs) but as soon as I potty I get some relief. Not total relief, but some...

I think I scared my hubby last night when I told him I wasn't sure I was going to make it the last 3 weeks...that his son just may decide to make his appearance sooner than scheduled. That was  a funny face to see on him!!!

Thanks for the heads up  :-)
Hugs!
