Had my monthly ultrasound today. The baby girls look great. Drailyn kicked her sister Journie three times in the head while on "camera". Journie is breech, as always, and Drailyn is vertex, but not very low lying, her head is even with Journie's butt. They are measuring 1lb3oz and 1lb4oz, and my uterus is like 3 inches above my belly button, I'm measuring like I'm 28 weeks along. Everyone kept saying how good things looked and how great the pregnancy is going.
So WHY then did my OBGYN then inform me that the babies have been consistently measuring 4-6 days behind my estimated due date, and the Perinatologist that did my Level 2 US recommended my due date be changed based on the size of my little peanuts? If everything is great, and they're growing just how they should be, and I KNOW for sure when the first day of my last period was, then why did she change my due date? I'm just frustruated because it makes it seem like I'm not as far along as I was. I understand it's only a 6 day difference, and my Doctor insists I won't even make it to my due date, let alone the original one. But come on, I've been telling everyone I'm 24 weeks along tomorrow, and now I'm supposedly just turning 23 weeks along today.
I know how crazy I sound for being even remotely upset about this. But it is filthy friday. And I didn't have anyone else to express my frustruation to but you ladies. Thank You for reading!
