The Baby Bullet...making baby food

Okay, so I'm 4 days away from my scheduled c-section and trying to tie up loose ends and get everything I need. Was seriously considering going organic and making my baby's food when she's on solids. Now I just saw this commercial for The Baby Bullet, which is the same maker of The Magic Bullet. Is this a good appliance to have or is there any other appliance that makes baby food that's better?

Hi Gina!
So excited for your babe to almost be here!
I make all Lydia's food and I know there are lots of others on the board who do as well. I have teh Beaba Babycook, but to be totally honest, its good for single servings, or one or two days at most. I liek to cook lots at one time, and then freeze it in ice cube trays. It a lot easier for me to cook en mass. Having said that, here are the things I use to make her food...
* Pot and lid with steamer basket
* The Bullet (you don't need the baby one ... the regular one does a heck of a job & it works great on meats!)
* Crock Pot
* Potato masher
* Ice cube trays

Really, that's it. I have lots of recipes on my FB page if you want them as well!

Okay! I'll send you some recipes. I would also like to reccomend the book The Baby and Toddler Cook Book. I used a ton of their recipes and found it a great help in planning healthy, balanced meals for my daughter. Obviously, since I had WLS, I was overweight and never learned healthy eating growing up, so making sure I do that for my girls is key for us! Hope you like it! I get a lot of happiness making L's food. :-)

I am planning on ordering it, they have a deal buy one get one free. I am going to send the other one to my sister because she is due in July, and I may even get another for my other sister who is due in September! I think it will be a great investment. i love my regular bullet and I wanna make baby food.

Even though you won't need it for a while.

So close! Good luck and can't wait to see pics!

I am so glad you posted about this! I am making Callen's food as well, and was going to get the baby bullet. Not sure what to do with the extra one, but I am sure I will find somebody who wants it!
It just looks so cute!
