When to introduce rice cereal?
My son also had a huge appetite at that age. My pediatrician told us we could start cereal in his bottles at 2 months. He did very well with it and starting sleeping through the night that night. I know people who have started around a month and it helped too. As long as she can tolerate it AND she is getting all the milk she needs, I think it is probably okay. We only gave him a cereal bottle at night to get him through the night and fed him on demand during the day. Good luck!
Thanks, everyone, for weighing in! I think we'll try to stick it out until she's one month old and then introduce a tiny bit of rice cereal to her bottle and see if she tolerates it. It's not even noon yet and she's already had 16 ounces today since midnight. I can't keep up with supply and demand, so I've been supplementing with Enfamil Infant Premium. We'll see what happens!

This is JMO, so feel free to take it or leave it ;):
I would really try not to feed her solids until the medically recommended age (4-6 months old)... I had a child with a big appetite also, and I just fed on-demand... IMO, whenever baby is hungry, offer your breast or a bottle. There are a lot of studies that link beginning solids early with childhood and adult obesity. Good luck!
