Rapid weight gain-Little worried
I am still addicted to the act of weighing in daily, but I haven't been stressing my numbers. I just do it out of habit at this point. Last night however, I became extremely concerned. My weight for the past two months has fluctuated between 210 and 214, but the shift is always gradual, one or two pounds depending on time of day and everything.
Yesterday morning I was at 209, this morning 216! I checked, and rechecked and checked again. My doctor told me that weight was going to start picking up, but I may still not actually gain (never have in previous pregnancies) and this still puts me at a negative for weight gain overall...but that cannot be good, right? I wear the same thing, do the same thing, and never move my scale. I changed batteries, same result...Is this something I should call Doc about?
However. Yesterday morning I weighed myself and was 184.4, then got back on after my shower and it said 187.3! I know I didn't have that much water in my hair, and both times I was naked, so no changes there, AND the scale was in the same place. SOOOOOO, try to relax. Check your weight again tomorrow.
Lots of things can fluxuate, fluids, bowel movements, etc. Like you said, you're still lower than you were at the onset of your pregnancy, relax a bit.
Are you swelling more than normal? Pre-e causes swelling in yor hands and face in addition to "normal" pregnancy swelling of your legs and feet.
Any vision changes (seeing spots) or headaches?
Can you check your BP at home or have your OB do it?
Pre-e is nothing to fool around with, I nearly lost one of my twins due to complete placenta abruption caused by it. If you're concerned at all, go in and get checked. Better safe than sorry.
((Hugs))
They believe my daughter's heart rate was dropping due to pre-e the last pregnancy, she was born via emergency c section at 32.5 weeks so thats part of why I am so paranoid. My BP stopped working last week, so I will have to send DH for another to check that. No swelling, but being on bedrest probably is helping that. Lots of spots in my vision, but I have had that even when my BP was 80/50, just constant;y dizzy and seeing the white spots.
I will keep an eye on it and get my BP checked. I put a call in to his nurse so we will see if they want me to come in. Thanks so much!
