all those runners out there... Question
So I usually run. I run anywhere between 3.1 and 5 miles in any one session. (weekends tend to be the 5 milers)
Anyone here a runner and what was the suggestions by the doctors about the subject when you got pregnant.
I have a run in april and should I actually become pregnant by then, i will want to make sure I follow the doc's advice. But I'd also like to know in advance the thoughts on the subject.
let me know what you guys have learned. Thanks

Pretty much, you are able to do whatever you did before becoming pregnant... At least in the first trimester. my doctors actually advised me to continue even my Zumba class. I got to the point where I knew it was time to take a rest and then I stopped going, but you should be fine as long as you are feeling up to it to run in April. GL TTC!
I was a 5k runner before I got pregnant. I was told that I could continue whatever activities I normally did. I became pregnant in May, and then had a 5k in late June. OMG, I was SO tired, my body basically gave me a big F-U and I ended up walking the last 3/4 mile or so. Your body will let you know when enough is enough. Just listen to it, and don't push yourself too hard.

I am most definetly NOT a runner! hA! But, dear friend of mine is a serious runner. She has 2 children and is expecting her third. She is 27 weeks, and ran a half marathon last weekend! She has done three half marathons, but does the 5Ks often. I was concerned for her, but her dr said that if her body was accustomed to that before pregnancy, she could continue unless she started to experience any problems like premature labor. So far, she has done well!
