What do you ladies do when you get dumping syndrome now that you are pregnant?  I just ate some Reeses cereal and feel like I am dying!  The nausea, heart racing, etc.  I used to take a phenergan(sp?) but can't now.  I also don't have a script for Zofran.....

just wait it out! I never had meds to get through dumping (although it's only happened a couple times in 4 years). It will get better!

Hope you are feeling better

Hum- I always thought dumping was just one of those 'learn from your mistake' type things and you just waited out.  I think I dumped once in early pregnancy and later learned that during my pregnancy I lost my restriction with foods- I could have consumed anything.  My advise is stop eating junk & don't test the water..-LOL (I wont say what I ate at one point in my pregnancy!)  Feel better & Good luck!

never knew you could take anything! never an option for me....? it was part of the benefits of surgery.. you learn what you should (and Shouldnt) be eating.

give it about 15-30 min. i walk around, i think that walking burns sugar, so it goes away faster. this could just be in my head though! some people I know lay down and wait it out. try drinking some H2O.

Oh yeah!  I find that my dumping syndrome aggrevates my morning sickness and vice versa.  I never had meds for my dumping syndrome and always feel the complete and utter discomfort of dumping when I over do it on sugar, fat, or if I eat too much.

The key is many very small meals.  Each meal should have a bit of protein to keep your blood sugar balanced.  I am still feeling gross but know that I am getting better.  Eat hourly. It is hard, almost like nursing a baby every hour, but it is helpful.

Keep us posted!

thanks for the help.  since i have been pregnant, the dumping is unpredictable which is why just avoiding junk doesn't always work.  for instance, i have been able to drink low sugar OJ for weeks, drank some the other day and dumped terribly.  before being pregnant, i knew my trigger foods **** cream, frozen yogurt, milk, Chinese food, sugary sauces, queso cheese) and could avoid them but now it seems a food that was once benign is now making me sick...could really be working in combination with the morning sickness...just worried about my different reaction to sweets and worried about gestational diabetes down the road in the pregnancy.
