giving birth naturally ?

I was wondering if anyone has some insight regarding giving birth naturally vs. C-section. I want to give birth naturally but my husband thinks that with me having had my RNY only a year ago come Feb. 26, I am due in May, that this will not have been enough time for my body to have healed. My question is can I have a natural birth or will it have to be C-section? Thanks for any info.    

You will be fine with a vaginal delivery! Don't let your OB talk you into an unnecessary c-section!

I agree with Liz.  Go in with the way you want to give birth but allow room for adjustment in case it turns out differently.    use both your surgeon and your Ob as guidance but you make your wishes known!  (just my 2 cents)

There is no reason to assume you need a section because you had WLS. A csection is MAJOR surgery and should not be taken lightly. Many doctors push for inductions for first time moms and the result is far too many unnessesary csections ('cause hey, they get paid more for a section than a normal birth...)

the good news is that vaginas and stomachs have nothing to do with each other .. yes you can have a natural birth and rny should in no way hender it

I just had mine naturally 2 weeks ago. Although I hit my 2 year a few days later, but I did just fine.
