23 Weeks and Loving it!

Well here I am..34 years old and just now starting a family. I had Gastric in 2005 and a lot has changed since then. Divorced and Remarried....New town....New Life.

I havnt been on OH for a long time now but with the pregnancy thought I would come back and gather the support from a trusted source in such an exciting time

Would so love to hear from any of you that might have any advice or information that could be usefull. Finding that the OB dosnt know squat about Post Gastric patients and Pregnancy and to be honest its a little scary feeling like I'm going threw this alone even though I know I'm one of many.

Hope everyone is having a great day

Look forward to hearing from you
Krista

Congrats!! And welcome! You sound a lot like me...I had my surgery in 2007 though, divorced, remarried, and relocated not once but twice and I'm any day now away from delivery. :) The girls here are awesome and a lot are so helpful in their answers, so ask away and you'll more than likely get a supportive overwhelmind response. You're far enough out that you don't have too worry TOO too much, but I suggest having your doc keep an eye on your vit levels, but other than that best of luck in the rest of your pregnancy and may it be happy and healthy! :)

I can try LOL If you click on the HELP link at the top of the page, there's a link under photo tutorials that's for picture resizing and recropping. It gives you the steps to follow, but if you go to this link  http://www.resizr.com/ and make your picture's width 276and height 187, it will make it the correct size once you click the resize button and then you will need to reupload the smaller pic to your profile and it can then be used for your avatar.  Hope that helps or at least guides you in the right direction :)

I'm 23 wks along as well =c) 15lbs gained, no cravings and everything is going along fine.  How has the dr reacted to your eating habits?

Nature does her best to teach us. The more we overeat, the harder she makes it for us to get close to the table.

Congrats! :) How exciting! Is this your first? Have yous tarted to feel the Baby kick yet?

I'm kinda dissappointed in my OB, she seems to have no interest in me as a patient. She gave me a one paragraph paper on vitamins when I told her that I am Post Gastric. No extra blood tests to check for absorption or anything. I dunno maybe I am expecting too much? I have gained 7 lbs so far from pre preg weight and looking forward to that belly rounding out a bit :) Nice for once in my life to be proud of my tummy haha

Really looking forward to the Baby shower and getting the Nursery put together :)

Good luck and keep in touch :)
