My Valentine's Gift

So, I told my hubby not to worry about getting me anything for Valentine's day because I already have the best gift ever growing inside of me and what made today even more special was hearing my sweet boy's heartbeat at the dr's office today :-) He was moving all around and very active and he sounds great as usual...I am measuring 25 wks instead of 21 wks, and dr said she would keep an eye on his growth and do another ultrasound if need be, but she isn't worried at this point. My daughters that were born before I had RNY were both over 9 lbs so I am thinking I am just destined to have big babies, we will see ;-) I was also taken off the dr's high risk list and that was great news!

I go back in 4 wks for my glucose test but I am hopefully NOT drinking that nasty drink..my doc is trying to find the best alternative to the sugar drink for me and am waiting to hear back about that.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone...I know this is the best one I've ever had because I have miracle baby that I am head over heels in love with !!

Happy Valentine's Day!!! I know exactly how you feel about not wanting any gifts. I told my hubby no flowers or anything cus there's no gift bigger than the one inside :) However, he has been working night shift (which I have HATED) for the last month or so and he called and asked his boss for the night off. He's supposed to be going back to day shift on Wed and his boss gave it to him, so we spent the entire day together doing some errands and then we got to go have my fav lunch...TGI Fridays!! Yummm! We came home and curled up and watched a movie together and it's all the small things that mean that much!!

A couple of friends though my little man might make his appearance today, but I'm praying he lasts for 11 more days...at least! My parents will be here and if he doesn't arrive by then March 1st (or 2nd-but hopefully not) works for me too!!! :)

And can't wait to hear his little heartbeat thumping away in there at my appointment on Thursday! I measured ahead this entire pregnancy myself and my NP, who had gastric, told me that my panni may have something to do with the extra couple of cms. Don't know for sure if that's your case or not too, but mine wasn't horribly bad to begin with, so it doesn't surprise me.

So yesterday was our 2 yr anniversary.  DW and I agreed that I would plan everything for our anniversary and she would be planning VDay.  I spent quite a bit of time putting together this romantical evening.  it was awesome.  I made dinner... 3 yummy dishes all finger foods.  I had a single peach colored rose (the same as the one she gave me on our 1st date), and I was wearing her present!  A sexy new lingerie set for me and on top of that, I was wearing "her" gift... a red dress shirt and gorgeous tie.  Oh yeah... and my high heeled hooker shoes. Ya... it went over VERY well.  But here's the thing... she came in the house with a big bouquet of roses for me and a gift... jewelry.  I loved it but was like... uh honey? you weren't supposed to do anything today.  She said since it was our anniv she was going to get me a present anyway.  OK... So guess what I did at lunchtime today... went back out to Macy's and got her a VDay present.

My girl spoils me.  And I love it! LOL

As far as the glucose test, my doctor didn't make me drink that stuff. I told him I didn't think my RNY stomach would tolerate it. So he said they would just poke my finger at each appt and check it that way. (they did it once and I think they forgot each time after that---and I didn't remind them since I felt fine).....just me
