1st trimester nausea and loss of appetite
I have had really bad nausea from the get go, but it is easing up the past few days. I was barely able to eat for about 4 weeks now. Now my appetite is a little better but it seems my pouch can't hold as much food. I used to be skeptical that one could shrink their pouch or stomach, but I am a believer now. Looks like the pouch test will be the post baby diet for me :)
fyi - i am at 9 weeks tomorrow, and my first doc appointment is march 1

Oh how I feel your pain. I'm just now crawling slowly out of the nausea and headaches caused by the first trimester. They are not as violent as they have been, but I'm still having the headaches and nausea attacks.
I'm also post RNY, and I feel like my pouch is shrinking... I can barely eat at all! It's annoying and nausea-inducing every time I have to eat. (and I know I HAVE to eat, so that sucks)
I had my 10 week appt. today and will be going in for an ultrasound in 2 weeks. Baby heartbeat is all good and everything looks ok for now, guess its just these evil hormones kicking my butt in the first trimester.
I'm here for you girl, I feelz your pain! :) If it helps, the doc said things will be better by the time the second trimester starts... gosh, i hope so! LOL.

Oh my goodness, I know what you mean! I'm 16 weeks and STILL experiencing nausea...it has eased up some, but every morning when I wake up, Zofran is calling my name. :) Thankfully, I am able to eat more now, and I've noticed my pouch is holding more too, because like both of you, I sware it was only holding an ounce! Good luck ladies! :)
Oh Darling, I so feel your pain. I have been off work since week 6 because my nausea, dizziness, and headaches. I felt like crap-on-toast and still do - although not as bad as I did around Week 9. I also have the dry heaves, so it has been a whole bag of fun!
I lost about 10 pounds initially but have gained it back and am on the right track in terms of weight gain.
I have found that if I eat a little bit every hour, I feel a little better. The longer I go without food, the worse it is. If I have too much food, I also feel terrible. It is a delicate balancing act.
Try to stay hydrated and keep something in your stomach. It does help. Talk to your OB about an RX to help with the nausea.
Take good care,
J
