Maryn your wedding sounds like it will be a blast. I don't even remember how many times I had to beg people for their RSVP cards (which were self addressesd and STAMPED, included with the invites) Even 2 hours before my wedding party, I still had to allow for an extra 10 people who were to lazy to respond. Some people have no common etiquette anymore.
If you send me a plane ticket, I'll buy you 2 ladies a LA Z Boy recliner :) CA weather is looking great right now hahah.

About 2 hours ago this rant would have been much worse...but since I've had dinner I'm a bit more relaxed...so basically, work was stressful but I have a few "other" things on my mind:
1) I find maternity pants completely annoying...and I have many pairs....I don't like any of them!
2) I want a shower...this is my second but it's been seven yrs....however, most people that I would invite...could care less about me (not one phone call to congratulate or anything) maybe it's just me...but shouldn't people at least ask how you are...the men that I work with ask me more about how I'm feeling...I don't know I have a hard time inviting people to an event that are only there because they want to be invited to something not because they care about me or the baby...I could go on...
But I'll rest for now...it's almost bed...

$700 rocking chair?! Is it made from gold?! Good God Man! I flip when I put the bouncer that's $75 or a carseat that's $125!!
And buying things you didn't ask for! I'd say hell no.. you better return it or suddenly find a need to attach motors to your own breasts woman!
And that is just rude to comment on your relationship when you didn't bring it up. How dare anyone else tell you how you should live your life.

My rant is about the baby's daddy. Things are not going well with us so I decided I am not going to stick in a relationship where I am unhappy just because of a baby. We werent dating long when this happened. I knew things were going to be risky all along. I informed him many times during the months that things needed to change. I refused to get married because of it and I refuse to just "stick it out".
So anyway.. as we are basically breaking up he messages me with ..Malachi is a stupid baby name and I hate it. he's not jewish and he will be picked on his whole life for it!
I see red. We have settled on this name for over a month. He has used it to address the baby. If you hated it.. grow a damn spine and say something!! Or better yet.. put the damn computer away when I am listing off baby names from a list and give it some attention!! He can only offer names like Relm and Harper (names of video game characters) or Jacob.. Which is hebrew just like Malachi!!! GRRRRR.

I know it is really hard being pregnant and realizing that it just won't work out . I went through the same thing with my daughters father but still strung things along until she was a year old. If I could go back and change any of that, I would have booted his ass a lot sooner and named her my st choice (and used my last name...a neverending issue). If he is not manning up now then you go ahead and pick whatever name you want. I know it is hard to be a new mom and single but in the end, it is better than dealing with an immature man on top of a new baby. You do what is best for you and your LO and don't wory about anyone elses opinions...it is your life. I hope it all works out for you soon & try to relax a little.

Thanks. I know it is going to be hard but I watched my best friend basically deal with two babies instead of the just one and I said I wasn't going to do it. I hope he will still be involved but life is what it is. I am actually alot more relaxed now that I finally made the decision and moved on.
And for names.. We sat down and went back over the list of names that we liked and picked a name that he doesn't hate. It's actually the name I wanted in the first place. So now my little boy is going to be Liam Dominic. The baby's dad insists he is gonna call him Will as a nick name (Liam is short for William).. and I said fine.. you can have your nickname but his name is offically gonna be Liam not William. Done Deal. I don't care if he hates it next week. Too damn bad!
