3/1 or Bust!!!
Well, I went in today for my 37 week appointment. I saw the NP who was being followed by a student for the day. The student did my measurements and I was measuring 39 cm and baby's heart rate was in the 140s. So, anywho the NP checked me and I have progressed. I'm 1 to 1 1/2cms- was nothing last week. And I'm now from a 25-30 effaced to a 50%. She said she was able to feel baby's head as well, so he's down nice and low and getting very ready! Then, the student gets a chance to check me and I don't know what she was doing but GOD it HURT!!!! I started bleeding, so the NP took a look again and said my plug is about 50% gone as well, but everything looks good otherwise and no cause for concerns. I bled for a little bit after, but thankfully it has stopped.
I've been having some really strong BHs and feeling down there pressure and had a pretty good feeling the news would be something like this. They also have me scheduled for an induction on March 1st if I do not go into labor on my own by then. I was def against the induction in the beginning, but with my family trying to come in and having to worry about childcare for the 3 girls- this is the most convenient way around. She told me that she thinks I will progress pretty rapidly with where he is stationed right now, but I'm pryaing I can hold out for these last 20 days now!!! :)
So, it's 3/1 or bust for Landen James' arrival date!!! YAY!!!

sounds like they stripped your membranes. They did mine at my 38 week appointment and I bled after, then got my bloody show the next morning. It hurts like crazy, but it helped progress me another cm. I went in for induction at 39 weeks, and all they had to do was break my water, and that started labor for me. Hopefully they can do that and not have to use pitocin. GL
Thanks Lianne! Well, I woke up to brown blood and some mucusy material when I wiped. I'm just hoping that it helps to keep me progressing but doesnt push me over the edge completely just yet. My mom, who has been through every surgery and procedure I've ever had, isn't going to be making it in til the morning of the 26th and I so badly need her her for support. My goal is 16 days to keep him nice and comfy and in there, so praying this is the case. Fingers are crossed!!
