did anyone ever faint in shower?
So far I haven't had morning sickness or nausea (yay). But yesterday afternoon I felt a little nauseous & thought it had to do with that bite of chocolate bar I had. Anyway, I got in the shower and made it through half of "routine" then started feeling lightheaded. I started to kneel down then the next thing I know I woke up curled up in a heap with bloody water everwhere and the water was freezing. It takes 25 minutes for the ho****er to run out like that. Anyway, it turns out I cracked my nose on the shower wall and had a bad nose bleed. My husband is on a business trip for 5 days and I am scared this will happen again.
I think yesterday was the first time I called my mom crying like a liitle girl in like 15 years lol. I know I wasn't dehydrated & the shower wasn't too hot. I am def eating enough.
Oh and to top it off, I have developed "swamp mouth". I forget what the tecnical term is but it is a sour metallic taste. Colgate Total and I are becoming best buds but...yuck :)

Well, I had this (not the actual pass out and bleed part) happen to me around the same time as you. I didn't realize that when we are pregnant our blood pressure is usually lower and we need to keep an eye on it especially after an RNY. I usually make sure I have eaten before my shower, even if it's a small glass of OJ or something with a bit of sugar in it. I don't want it to ever happen to me again, and I'm sure you either. I did fall right down, my knees totally gave out from under me and I couldn't see, water was just too hot and with the door closed it was a sauna in there. Just be safe!!

This has not happened to me, but I wanted to say how sorry I was. What a scary thing to happen. Hope it was a one time occurrence.
Sometimes I get so light headed! MOSTLY in the shower. I feel like im going to tip over.
So know when I take showers I sit down, and then I stand up very slowly..I hope this goes away soon. Its like that when I first wake up in the morning also.

I think I was a bit farther along but I was in the shower and had the door closed. Started to get really light headed. I was able to sit down on the side of the bathtub for a bit and them quickly finish my shower before my knees gave out just as I made it to my bed. My whole body was shaking. It was not fun. I am thankful that I didn't actually pass out. I am sorry that it happened to you. I make sure that I have just eaten something before I take a shower and I always leave the door open to make sure it doesn't get to hot in there. It has not happened again.
Oh and I hated the metallic taste. Mine didn't last long but I had to brush my teeth a lot too. It made eating hard sometimes because I could taste that and not the food.

Yep. all of the time. you might want to get a shower chair or just take baths until he gets home. With Tristan I did it only in the second half... This pregnancy has been the entire time. I got a shower chair and it makes you feel old... but it's way safer... I am only standing up long enough to wash the parts I can't wash sitting.
There's something about the water trickling down your head that makes you dizzier than normal. It could be blood pressure or blood sugar related. I have problems with both.
Be careful!
