Almost 8 weeks preg, no m/s

Anyone else not experience m/s throughout their pregnancy? Everyone keeps saying it may be because I had Gastric Bypass, and my body is so much healthier. In fact, I haven't had a cold since before my surgery in 2008. Could that have something to do with it? I know every pregnancy is different. Just wondering what others think. Thanks.

Every pg is different, for sure! With my son the only pg "symptom" I had was heartburn. Good for you for being so much healthier since your Bypass!
Congrats and Good luck!

Every pregnancy is different. Morning sickness has nothing to do with your general health but rather how your body handles the flood of hormones in your system. Some women have it bad, other don't.

WIth my twins I had zero morning sickness. It was also pre-WLS at the highest weight.

This time around  I was sic****il almost 16 wks with all day "morning" sickness.

You're still early, it may hit you later on in the first trimester, or maybe you'll be one of the "lucky" ones that doesn't get it at all. Personally I found it reassuring this time around because it means you're pregnancy is progessing well.

" Many health care providers think morning sickness is a good sign because it means the placenta is developing well."

good luck!

To me I say your body is saying "boy"!  With my daughters I had morning sickness from point of conception on.  With my son, I had like absolutely no pregnancy symptoms until like the 12 week when I was showering one morning and I noticed my "chest" had grown overnight!

I say enjoy it, because others really suffer!

I had m/s in my first pre-WLS pregnancy, and no m/s in my post-WLS pregnancy.  Like the poster before me, I had a boy in my non-sick pregnancy, but I have friends who had hyperemesis and they had boys, so who knows?

Thanks everyone! Hopefully I'm just one of the lucky ones I suppose. Maybe it is a boy!? We're kinda hoping for a boy... ;) Anyway, thanks for all the responses! :)
