Alexander has arrived!
Alexander is Here!!!
I went in at 7:30pm and did not get settled into my room until 9:30. THey said it was a pretty busy night and that they would be a while. So after waiting in the room for my doctor and after 5 failed attempts to put in my IV, they had to call in the IV team and the women got it it on first try. Then I had a talk with my doctor and we decided that it was a good idea to break my water and see if that did the job. So they broke my water at 12:20am and I did not start getting the contractions until about 1:30, the doctor tried to talk me into pitocon, but I declined and told her my body would do what it had too. The contraction then picked up and got real bad around 3:30 and I opted for the epi then.
So the epi worked for a little bit, but there was a section of my abdomin that it did not work, and then the thing wore off after a while. About 45 minutes later I was in so much pain, I was screaming at them to just give me a c-section... Well of course that is when they knew I was almost there and the doctors were of course not listening to me. So they went out for a while, but it seemed like hours. came in with the cheif doctor on staff and he check me and told me that I need to wait a minute for him to get ready. At 5:30 i was ready to push. So after 4 minutes of pushing, he was here! He had the cord around his neck which had a lot to do with his HB dropping towards the end. So my not so little boy was born at 5:34am this morning weighing 8lbs 14oz, 21.5 inches long. He has lots of dark hair and he is awesome at nursing! I do not remember how to post pics, but I will try. Sorry if it does not work.
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers! In all the labor was very quick and mstly uneventful.

Awww so happy for your little gift!! He is absolultely perfect! I so needed to see that this morning as I have had a rough week, and feeling guilty and sad about being pregnant. And wallowing in the 7 weeks nausea and constipation, so just to see that beautiful baby makes me remember the outcome will be all worth it!
