Is it too late?
To switch OB's???
I had a conflict of schedule with my date to be induced on Saturday. I told them the only person I have that can take my other 2 kids is not in town, and I need to do it before that. Well the nurse went ahead and scheduled me for Thursday, which was fine. Then she called me and told me that They cannot do Thursday because I will be one day shy of 39 weeks, and they do not have any Friday openings. So they have to do it on the 5th. BTW I was diagnosed with Gestational hypertension and that is why they are inducing me. So do they think this is making the BP any better?
Anyway now I am having a major nervous breakdown and they told me to come in AGAIN to have my BP monitored, I live 40 minutes away from the hospital, I cannot keep this up. DH has been unemployed for way to long, and I had to stop working, so we are trying to make it off just unemployment alone. I am so torn up and my head feels like it is going to explode!
Sorry had to vent.

Unless your current OB will refer you to a new OB, you;re pretty much stuck where you're at.
Most OBs won't take a "new" patient past 30 wks without a referal (depends on the OB, Hospital policy, etc).
Have you asked to do at home monitoring of you BP and phone in the results? Maybe explaining your situation will help them to work with you better.
((hugs))
