Boys and soy formulas

My pedi also said stay away from soy especially for boys. Matthew had reflux and he was on Similac Alimentium and it worked great for him. It was very expensive but worth it in my opinion.

From a different perspective ... My husband was going to start on Medifast and our PCP told him not to use the Soy version of the Medifast because of the female hormones that were in it ...

I'm not sure how that would affect an infant but if they discourage a grown man from it it may be seriously worth looking further in to ...

My now 18 month old son was diagnosed with severe acid reflux at 3 weeks old. He was on Pro Sobee (Enfamil soy****il he turned 12 months old. He also was seeing a pedi GI doc. Our pedi and GI doc said soy was fine. They said there is to hype put in all these "warnings" and there are very limited studies on it.

For my son soy based formula saved him a lot of tummy discomfort.
