Is baby able to move around "that" much??

At 26 weeks 4 days is it normal for baby to switch positions so much...

Like she is sometimes really high, my stomach will be hard and she'll be kicking me near my ribs. Then sometimes it feels like she's sitting really low near my hoohoo, my stomach will no longer be hard on top and I only feel "taps" or "thumps" really low in my abdomen.

I know I probably sound completely stupid but with me being a bigger girl it's really hard to tell where baby is located at times except when my stomach gets a funny shape and her kicks are prominent. Also at my last ultra-sound last month they said my placenta was low. I'm confused and wondering if she really is able to move around "that" much or is it me imagining it?

After about 22 weeks, it felt like this little guys was everywhere! Now he has less room to move, but I still feel the same places I did then. Pretty much as soon as I felt him actually move, we could see it too and he looked like a ping pong ball bouncing from one spot to another. My husband asked me if that was normal. With my previous pregnancies, I was too large to actually see the movements,so he was not used to seeing it.

Around that time it seemed like my belly had a different shape every day. It was crazy.

I think around that time is when my little guy felt like he had 80 legs and 60 arms! I would get a bounce here, a pop here, a jump here or there! They are so funny when they're around that time for sure...mine was a non-stop mover it seemed and I never could quite understand how he did his acrobatics from one end of my stomach to the other all at one time. At 36 weeks, he is definitely not jumping around as much, however, he moves quite a bit in there for me still. It's now more of a rolling feeling and it seems to constantly make me feel motion sickness when he gets to going good.

And you're not stupid girl. Shoot I've been guessing every other minute what position he is in and what it is exactly that I'm feeling. I do know he's head down, butt up, but then I have another hard spot and Im constantly wondering...how is he in there like that? Are those his legs or feet?? It's very confusing, but at your stage of the game they are super duper movers and shakers lo
l (or at least this little guy sure was).

We were fortunate enough to get an ultrasound at 12 - 20 - and 30 weeks.  Each time she was whipping around like a gymnast - the movement is very normal (and to me reassuring) .  I hear you though about feeling it in your hoohoo.  My goodness, sometimes I think she's trying to punch her way out.

She's a mighty little thing and while now that we're a couple weeks away her zone of mobility is less I feel it even more.  It's fun when I take a bath and watch her move from side to side.

Hang in there, your little one will be with you soon enough and there may even come a day when you wish s/he was tucked back inside where at least you could sleep through their not sleeping.

Happy and healthy!  What more could you ask for?
