I did shave my legs about 10 days ago BUT...
My 25 yo step-sister got engaged on MLK day and she sent an email to her mom about where she wants the wedding. It's some hotel in DC that charges $190-$290 per plate PLUS the cost of the hall/room rental. AND she thinks 120 people can/will come to her wedding from MI and pay $300 (at least) per night for THREE nights in this hotel too!!! BTW she thinks she's entitled and she's a lying, backstabbing *****!

All that stress on my dad is bad and I'm hoping he thinks my pregnancy is as good as we think it is! It'll be his first grandchild. My stepmom can also be a ***** and I hope she keeps her mouth shut if she doesn't have anything nice to say!!

We're going to his house to tell them on Sunday. Wish us luck!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Steph,
Watching people go wedding crazy is really irritating to me. It fascinates me how a couple will think nothing of dropping 80K on a wedding, then get divorced 2 years later. It is even more horrid when these girls plan extravaganzas and assume their parents will foot the bill. Most couples nowadays pay for their own weddings.
We paid for mine, including my dress. My mom bought my veil and shoes. My IL's (who are loaded and make sure you know it) contributed Nada to the whole thing. Nor did they even give us a gift or card. Grrr
Good Luck this Sunday!

I'm sure she does think someone else will pay for it!!! If my dad and stepmom pay for it at all I'll be a bit pissed because when Suzy and I had our ceremony in Hawaii, we paid for everything (noone was invited though) and then we had a party/reception in our backyard. My mom and her mom paid for the food AND gave us money. Suzy's mom's boyfriend gave us a few hundred dollars. My dad and stepmom gave us a digital picture frame. I'm not materialistic, but really??? AND on the card she wrote "I'm glad we could make all your fairy tale dreams come true"! My dad has 3 girls and stepmom has 2. I'm the only one married! The 2 stepsisters are 25 and 23 and my sisters are 37 and 38.

She should pay for her own!! At least most of it!

I hear you on the stepmother biz....and not to discourage you, but true story:  my sister got married last August and my stepmother and I haven't spoken since.  Can't stand her or her entitled little witch daughter.  :(

That doesn't discourage me, if I don't talk to her I'd miss my dad too much! My sister has spent the last 2 years not talking to either of them. I can't be like that. I just deal with her and that way I can see my dad. I do like her, but she doesn't deal well with anything! We'll see how tomorrow goes when we tell them they're going to be grandparents! :)

This was just what the doctor ordered! I am cracking up over here. I'll play...

If this baby's father does not get her room together (crib out the box, etc.) I am going to SHANK HIM penitentary style! LOL GRRRRR Nesting ain't the same if you in a cell for assaulting someone! I would hope that the judge would take one look at my big ole belly and have sympathy.

Tying my shoes is now the greatest challenge of the day, so I wear the same two pair of Ugg-looking boots to work daily. They ain't real cute...but my feet and back love 'em! I picked sanity over sexy for the third trimester...tights are the devil BTW.

P.S. The next person who gleefully announces "LOOK HOW BIG YOUVE GOTTEN!" is going to get drop-kicked! If I could lift my legs up that high that is...he he he

I have a laundry list of things today! I this post!

1. I was feeling perfectly fine until my OB appt yesterday. Then my doctor decides to go in up to her elbow and now I can barely even walk. I was up all night in pain.

2. My husband has a lifted truck and INSISTS on driving everywhere. Just to get in the thing makes me feel like I am being split in half at the crotch.

3. My BFF has two young daughters and brought me 4 HUGE rubbermaid containers full of baby clothes up to 12 months. While I totally truly appreciate the fact that she is letting me use them, 3/4 of it is stuff I will never use/ is stained/ is ugly. And, she told me if I don't want it not to throw any of it away because she'd like it back. So now I have to figure out where the hell I am going to store 4 huge containers full of **** I will never use in my tiny-ass condo.

4. I am being induced on Tuesday and all anyone has told me is how much induction sucks and how I will be praying for death because I'll be in so much pain. Thanks for the vote of confidence, ********!

5. If my husband complains one more time about how he has a headache/ backache/ knee hurts/ didn't sleep well, I am going to stab him with an ice pick, put his junk on a chopping block, and pulverize it with my meat tenderizer.

A friend of mine was induced this past monday. She said they started the pitocin (sp?) around 9am and had the baby at 3pm! She got the epidural at the right time and said she didn't feel a thing! She had a great experience with it! I think you'll do great! Good luck, can't wait to see pics!! Ummm.....of the baby, not the delivery! :)

You can give the containers back and tell her that you just don't have the space to store them so you'd rather not get those clothes mixed up with everything else you have. Then she can store them!!!

well i was moving all day yesterday when you started this post but it is such a good idiea. i am totaly sick of the doctors offices. i am now 37 weeks and when i went in on monday at 36 weeks and told him i had been having lots of pressure he says oh thats normal. and i thought even though that may be normal that he would still wana check me to see if this pressure and cramping is doing anything, but no he didnt. instead he tells me to undress from the waste down so he could do the group b strep swab and that was it. me and my mom were like really i was allready naked and legs spread might as well check. then on top of that he said he didnt wana see me for two weeks. so now this late in the game i have to get an appointment with the doctor i orginally wanted to go to when i moved back home, but wouldnt take me b/c i didnt have the right medicade so she wasent takeing me since she wouldnt get paid which is what led me to quack shack at the county hospital. so im sitting here crossing my fingers toes and legs hoping my little girl can stay in til i can get an appointment with this doctor. on another note i just moved completly out of my apartment. im glad to be by my mom, but i am so sick of her lazy boyfriend. he just annoys the heck out of me. i know weve all had weight loss surgery and been over weight, but it kills me that he dosent wana do anything to try and get healthy even after seeing my mom get healthy b/c she to had the surgery. since hes such a large man he cant get a job so he just sits here all day doing nothing. as much of an up and down relationship me an my mom have i wouldnt mind being here if he didnt live here. im just ready to graduate so i can start looking for a real full time job and save some money up and move out. i dislike her boyfriend so much i dont want my baby anywere near him thats easier said than done. well i feel so much better. thanks chelle for making this post.
