6 weeks and SO QUEASY!
I have only had saltines and Goldfish crackers the past 2 days! Didn't even indulge in football snacks at a party yesterday, actually the smell of the chipped beef dip almost did me in!
And I am so dehydrated, I cannot seem to rehydrate....My Tanita says I am only 38% hydrated and i need to be 50% to be normal..

Zofran has helped me out for the past several weeks...an anti-nausea med. And I have been battling dehydration the whole time as well. I've been drinking Powerade Zero or Smar****er for the electrolytes. I've yet to reach 64oz of fluid in one day. Wish I had more advice on that one because it's killing me too. Congratulations and best of luck to you! :)
With my son I took Zofran and it worked but I hadnt had my bypass.Im almost 13 weeks with twins and it doesnt help I still feel queasy.I have the sea bands as well. They seem to help a little. My OB said its because my body isnt getting all the Zofran because of my surgery. On the other hand I will deal with it because I have two babies on the way can't be any more grateful.....Congrats to all!
they are at walmart like about $7.00 the ones I have are black and has a white bead in it that pushes on the preasure point of your rist that tells you not to get naushas.I read it in one of my books so I went looking for them. They help I do know that because I take them off when I shower and i get queasy. They are for people who get sea sick so you will find them by the meds for that.
Dehydration is a killer. I didn't want to do artificial sweeteners, that is gone out the window! If I didn't put crystal light in my water or drink an occasional diet coke, i would be in even WORSE shape than I am in now. Since my surgery, I have been dehydrated on a daily basis. Cold water makes me so sick, and warm or room temp tastes bad. I just make myself choke down crystal light room temperature. But I can't catch up, I probably need a drip but my insurance doesn't kick in til March 1st, so I have to battle this on my own. Gatorade makes me dump, Powerade Zero may have to be the answer...I don't mind the strawberry one.
Would eating some popsicles help? You could buy the all natural fruit ones, or some sugar free ones, or even make your own with juice or whatever else you wanted. Just a suggestion. It helped me stay hydrated after surgery. It doesn't feel like "drinking" but you still get the fluid. Or maybe some really watery fruit like eating some watermellon? Or even broth based low sodium soups? What about hot tea? My sister had a lot of success with eating crunchy ice.
Good luck!
