Frustrating answers....Any advice on this situation?
The weekend of the 22nd I woke up on Sat. morning and noticed some light bleeding. I kept an eye on things and went to the hospital to ease my mind. They did an ultrasound and bloodwork and everything came back okay. Was told this can be normal and i understood that completely.
But this past weekend I woke up on saturday morning and was bleeding like I was having a heavy period. It felt like I was peeing myself all day but it was bleeding. I went back up to the hospital and they did blood work and ultrasound and said everything is fine it is just subcantaneous bleeding and I don't need to worry about it or change anything that iam doing.
I have calmed down but am still bleeding and can't really find any answers online about what they told me. Has this happened to anyone else?
thanks
Sara

Did they mention a subchorionic hemmorhage at all? I had one with my second daughter. For me, it wasn't as heavy as a period (close, but not quite). I was told to go on pelvic rest, no lifting of anything heavier than a gallon of milk, and to take it easy and rest for a week after the bleeding stopped. I also had to have more ultrasounds to monitor baby's growth to make sure the clot behind the placenta wasn't inhibiting her growth at all. Everything turned out okay for us. With a subchorionic bleed, you can bleed everything from spotting, to passing large clots, and everything in between. I think I bled off and on for 3 weeks or so, then it tapered off and stopped. I made sure to take it easy my entire pregnancy and did no strenuous activity or lifting...
Like Keya said, it sounds an awful lot like a Subchronic Hematoma (sounds way worse than it actually is). I had one with my twins and bled off and on for nearly 2 weeks. I had everything from slightly pink discharge to large clots. It was terrfying but my OB kept assuring me it's fairly common.
Eventually the bleeding stopped, I didn't change anything from my normal routine, or take it easy, I just did everything I normally do and was sure to keep up on my vitamins to keep from becoming anemic from all the bleeding.
((hugs))

they never gave me a name for my bleeding, but I bled from approximately week 7-8 to week 14. And most of the time it was heavy. I was allowed to go to work but then had to come home and put my feet higher than my hips. Everything turned out fine, except I was completely paranoid through the whole pregnancy.
