Cooper moved to a "big boy bed" yesterday!! It's a double bed.... right now I am sleeping with him to transition him... we'll see how it works!

Here he is helping Grampy put it together, playing on it and finally sleeping on it!

No... just a hobby. Although I am on a mommy's photography board on www.babycenter.com and those ladies...well those ladies are amazing! I just aspire to be like them. :-)

Well just a few weeks ago I got a DSLR (but some of those pics I posted were taken with my old Sony Point & Shoot)

My DSLR is a Canon T2i - I really haven't had time to learn much about it and shoot mostly in automatic mode (I'm ashamed to say).

www.babycenter.com does have many photo groups of mom's who are awesome with the camera... and many who have businesses.

I always tell them I just want to take nice snapshots... nothing fancy.

My goal this year is a "365 project" where I take a picture a day.... in the hopes of #1 getting better, #2 expanding things I normally photograph and #3 keep a photo-diary for Cooper.

So far so good...but we're only 23 days into the year!

DSLRs are so worth it! You'll have to tell me which one you decide on.

I saw something online a few weeks ago about a man who took a picture a day of his daughter - from birth to 10 years old. They did a video thing flipping through the pictures quickly so you could watch her grow - the whole thing took about 2-3 minutes to flip through them all...it was amazing.

Like you said...you have a great 'subject' for practicing on...you can't possible make a bad picture with Cooper posing for you.
