Thank you all for the quick reply. 
FYI: I've been told by my doctor that although sleevers don't lose nutrients that due to the decreased surface area of the stomach they absorb pills differently.

I would try the IUD. Ive heard good things, and the side effects arnt nearly as severe as with Depo (highly DONT recommend it!! depression, weight gain, etc are common)

I was on the pill and got pregnant- but not til 15 months out, so it was fine!

RNY 4/17/2009- 130 lbs lost!

I know in the past there was a birth control patch... at least that is what one of my non-bariatric friends has said... but she has been off of it for awhile.  Anyone have any experience with that?

If you are under 200 lbs, the patch is a great option. But it's been shown to not be as reliable and hasn't been as rigorously tested on women over 200 lbs. I personally wouldn't feel like taking my chances on it.
