I'm nesting like a crazy person!

I always kind of laughed when people said there was a difference between nesting and cleaning. I mean, I'm a very clean person. I vacuum every other day, I change my pillowcase every day, I wipe down the shower every time, I keep things picked up and put away, etc.

But HOLY CRAP the nesting has set in. This is absolutely hilarious to me, because even though I'm generally clean, all of a sudden I have a whole new set of standards.

So far, I have:

Steam-cleaned my carpets
Scrubbed the baseboards in the entire house
Removed pictures from walls to dust behind them
Taken the mini-blinds down and scrubbed them
Removed all my draperies/valances to wash, iron, and re-hang them
Washed all the windows, inside and out
Scrubbed and disinfected all 3 bathrooms
Re-organized the garage and donated stuff to Goodwill
Cleaned out our storage closet
Organized my crafting supplies
Put all of baby's clothes in rubbermaid containers by age/size
Scrubbed the stove and self-cleaned the oven

I'm praying that this baby comes soon because I'm running out of things to do! LOL

I get my burst, but my body aches way too much to do anything anymore. Just a couple days ago though, I was standing on the bed cleaning the ceiling fan and cleaning the walls in the whole house. Good to see that you are able to do this stuff!

I have had a LOT of help from my husband. I wouldn't have been able to do half of this stuff without him! I get tired very easily, too. I find myself cleaning for 10 minutes and resting for 30.

I am lucky that my husband is letting me be a "Princess" now! He takes care of the kids, the laundry, everyday cleaning, and the dogs and just tells me to relax and put my feet up or take a nap. So he is really helpful, just wants me to have this baby soon so I can get back to being able to move! I am spoiled

LOL, I am almost 5 months along and I'm already nesting, but then again, I have waited for this baby for 6 yrs, so I am more than anxious ;-)  Happy nesting :-)

I've been nesting too... but I find that I get crafty when I nest. (I did with Tristan too) I've been a knitting fiend! So far this baby has 4 hats and 2 sets of booties. For a change of pace I am now trying to figure out how to knit socks. And I have half of an adult size hat done too. I'm on bed rest so I am trying not to do too much, but last night it got to me and I cleaned for two hours before I couldn't stand anymore.

I hear yah!

The baby shower went great, thanks for asking. It was really a fun day... lots of laughs were had.

I pretty much got everything else I needed for the nursery! The only things I had to end up buying myself are the crib set (got a couple fitted sheets, though), a few bottles, an activity center, and random odds and ends like some first aid supplies, towels, and diapers. I have a friend who has a breast pump that she got for free but never used, so she's giving it to me. I'm really, really lucky!
