So I have to vent...

A co-worker has said to me more than once.. "when did you have the baby"..Then look at my belly and proceed with "cause you don't look preggers."  Today she said it again as I grind my teeth then proceeds to touch my stomach. OMFG No you DIDNT!  She is lucky she got called away at that moment or I would have been fired for murder.

How can someone be so rude? I am already self conscious because i have the panni so it makes it hard to tell I am pregnant but you blurt it out at the nurses station for everyone in the world to notice..After I was done fuming I almost cried.

Just had to vent!

When you're over the 'urge to kill'emotions...take her aside and just flat out tell her that you'd appreciate her not asking any more questions about your pregnancy and tell her that you're very self-conscious and it bothers you.  Tell her when the baby's born, you'll make an announcement, and in the meantime, please don't discuss it with you.  If she continues to say anything after that...talk to her supervisor.  I'm sure it falls into some sort of EEO/harassment sort of issue, or medical privacy or whatever.  I know it may be *****y to take it to that level, but if it truly upsets you, she needs to STFU.  Alternatively, if you're good friends w/someone who's friends with her, you can pass a message through the friend about how upset you were...see if she catches a clue.  After that...let it go.  Rejoice in the fact that YOU know you're pregnant and ignore her.

LOL - I didn't want to say anything about reaching out and touching...'cause I'd tend to not touch so genty and just slap the *****

How's Mia doing?  I know you're on FB...and occasionally I lurk around over there...but haven't seen any pictures lately on here?  You ready for #2 yet?

I agree with Holly's 1st recommendation - take her aside and explain to her that she needs to stop.  You can even tell her that her comments are verging on harassment and they need to stop immediately.  You can stand up for yourself in a powerful way here.  I would not tell a friend to tell her because that just evokes "office gossip" which is the last thing you need.

If all else fails... go into a rage on ur rude butt and then blame it on the pg hormones! halalalalala

I have perfected the "oh NO you did NOT just say that" stare and it's been working for years. Use that with a non-response and I guarantee people will be backpedding & trying to redeem their stupidness.
