New to this group
Hi everyone!
I can finally say i'm new to this board...i'm expecting and due August 12th!
My husband and I are very excited about the whole experience.
I've had 2 appts. so far and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat yesterday...so awesome!
Other than that they are treating me as a "normal" pregnancy and everything is great!
I do have a question about protein though...I used to drink a shake every morning on my way to work. Now it's making me so nauseous and I want nothing to do with protein shakes. Does anyone else find it tough to get in all the protein? I've been having some protein bars but finding it difficult to get it all in. All I want is carbs!
Thanks!

Welcome to the board and congrats on your new little one.
And lucky for your cravings it is important to add some carbs to your diet to avoid Ketosis, which can damage baby. While protein is important, it shouldn't be your complete diet anymore since baby needs a pretty good balance to develop. Dairy products can be good protein snacks as are nuts (if you can tolerate them)... and it is important to have 'healthy fats' for baby's development.
good luck on your pregnancy :)
