Hey ladies!

Okay, so, I had this over Christmas for 3 days, and I took Robitussin and it went away. Well, I have had this cough for 4 days now and it's not showing any signs of letting up. What else can I do?! I'm getting desperate. I'm 37+ weeks and I have to go pee every hour or else I wet my pants when I cough! LOL! I've tried:

Robitussin CF Max (OB recommended)
Herbal tea with honey
Honey with lemon
Vicks vap-o-rub
Humidifier
Hot showers

I am pretty much at my wit's end. Thanks a bunch!!

Mandy,

This is one weird thing but try this:
drinking your hot tea threw a straw~

Do you have anything new in the house? Could this be allergic reaction?
Silly question but I am thinking about my coughing and wear it comes from.

Happy DayCheri
Any day now, so excited for you!!!!

I've actually thought about that. We have a lot of new stuff in the house, but it's all stuff like clothes, baby furniture, blankets, etc. Nothing that should really bring on a cough.

I'm *pretty* sure that the reason I have it is because there was a drastic change in the weather, here. It's been 80+ the last 3 days without a cloud in the sky, and previously, it was in the 60's and overcast. Maybe a lot of crap came out to bloom? Who knows, lol.

Thanks.

Sorry you are feeling so yucky!! Being pregnant and sick is a horrible combination!! I would give you dr a call and let him know how sick u are. I had a killer cold toward the end of my pregnancy too. Cough drops and tea were my best friends. Bring them with you to l and d just in case. Rest rest rest!!!

My aunt totally jinxed me and was like, "You're so lucky you've been so healthy! I had the worst cold ever when I was 9 months pregnant!" LOL!

I've been resting, but ya know, when you've got a watermelon on your pelvis, you can only lay in bed for so long before it starts to hurt. Today is my first official day off work for maternity leave until April.

The good news is, today I actually started coughing stuff up. So hopefully that means I'm on the mend!

There is a stain this year that comes with a cough. That it stays around for two weeks. You think it goes away and comes back. A lot of doctors were giving antibiotic which seemed to make people better but a few days later they were back with this horrible cough. I had it for two weeks and couldn't stop coughing at all. The only thing that finally helped me get over it was steriod inhaler (just for two days). I would say if it really won't go away, then you might talk to your PCP.

That's what scares me. The sinus congestion, I can deal with, but the COUGH! It sucks. I had one last year that lasted for a month. By the time I finally sucked it up and went to the doctor, it had turned to double walking pneumonia. Oops! So I really need to stay on top of this and get well soon... not to mention, I'm due in less than 20 days and I really don't want to be sick for my first family photos.

I keep sugar free coughdrops in my mouth when I get like that. I've even slept with them in there. I would also recomend wearing pads... I have had a cough since thanksgiving... and Keiran is making that pee problem worse :) LOL!!!!

Also keeping your mouth moist is good. Water even helps. Atleast you are attempting a vaginal delivery.... I am looking forward to a c-section knowing I'm coughing. Not going to be fun :)

Good luck1

I have a sinus infection right now, and I am on the z pack for that! I can barely breathe and with the baby pressing on my lungs it makes it even more interesting. I thought it was a cold until it just would not go away and finally realized that the headaches I was getting every day were sinus headaches.
