Please no judements..TTC 4 months post op...
Exactly!
This soon after your surgery, there's no way in Hell you are getting enough nutrients for yourself, so how would you expect to get enough for your baby at the same time?
Be responsible. Talk to your surgeon. Heal from your surgery, and then start TTC.
You'll thank yourself in the end once you have a healthy baby and you're healthy yourself.

Proud mama of Mischa and Gabriel, both born post-op.
I believe that the specialist will tell you no and they should tell you no. I have seen way too many women get pregnant early post-op (most trying NOT to but bc failed) and end up with miscarriages. It is absolutley terrible to think that you are willing to put yourself and your baby through that. I also think your husband needs to fully be educated as to what could happen and why we are asked to wait.
I was 5 years post op and still battled horrible anemia- 5 years! You need to be fully educated and not be all unicorns and lollipops because PCP who has no freaking clue says it is ok!

"Please no judgements" is just another way of saying, "I know this is a terrible idea and I only want to hear from people who will tell me it isn't a terrible idea." Well, it is a terrible idea. Having a baby should be about the BABY and doing what you can to ensure a healthy pregnancy, not willfully endangering your child because you want to save a few months.

Hi. No flaming here, just want to point out a couple things.
1. Summer is coming up, don't you want to scope out the malls for cute "skinny girl'" clothes?
2. 34 is not old. There are women here in their early 40s who are TTC or are pregnant.
3. Ketosis (high protien, low carb) can cause brain damage for a baby. But that is how we are supposed to eat until we get to goal. Start throwing carbs in there now....slow down your WL.
4. Miscarriages are absolutely devasting for the whole family. It affects your entire outlook on any subsequent pregnancies. You do not want to risk one if you can help it.
Hope that helps.
