The not so Friday TTC POST...

SIGH... late again.

Hi girls. How is everyone doing in their TTC journey? I wanted to post a few personals to those that posted last week. And of course any adds or changes to the list let me know. Praying for all of you to get those bfp's. Remember this IS the place to let it all out. I know all to well how hard the TTC journey can be and couldn't have done it without the support here...so vent away okay!! Shari

MUM ~ As in 'mum's the word'. You know who you are! Of course your secret is safe with me...but YEAH!! I am glad I could be there for you during your journey. (This is exactly why I do this post...to give back for all that was given to me here during my own journey.)

Jessica!! Congratulations on your BFP. It has been fun watching your posts on FB and that one of mom was priceless! Have a happy and healthy nine months okay!

T ~ Congratulations to you too hon!! So, so happy for you with your long journey! I will be praying for smooth sailings until Sept. You know my birthday is the 23rd...if you care to bake a little longer! lol

Amber ~ I can add you to the list now if you want as TTC soon, or in June. Congrats on the Masters, what a huge accomplishment. I recently earned my BA for teaching and have most of my Masters classes done, but there are no teaching jobs in Cali. I know how hard school is, so stick it out!!

Mandy ~ Um...how the hell did I miss that! LOL of course I knew you were due soon. The list can be overwhelming sometimes...that is my excuse...lol

Some common terms:

TTC - trying to conceive
BFP - big fat positive (positive pregnancy test)
BFN - big fat negative (negative pregnancy test)
CD - the day of your menstrual cycle
O - ovulation
DPO - days past ovulation
LP - luteal phase (time from ovulation to period)
AF - aunt flow ( your period)
PG - pregnant/pregnancy
MC - misscarriage
RE - reproductive endocrinologist
OPK - ovulation prediction kit
CL - coverline ( for those taking their temps to confirm ovulation)
Met - metformin or glucophage ( a diabetes medication sometimes taken to help hormone levels and ovulation)
BD - baby dancing ( having timed intercourse)
DTD - doing the deed
IUI - inter uterine insemination
IVF - in vitro fertilization
PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome
POAS - pee on a stick (taking a pregnancy test)
2WW - two week wait...time from ovulation until you can test for pg

Thanks for doing this post!!!!

My 36th b day was yesterday, and I know what I wished for when I blew out my candles!!

Tomorrow is CD1.  I have my baseline u/s with my RE.  I will also start 3 more shots tomorrow.  In the morning, I will begin Lovenox and in the evening I will begin my stims, Gonal F and Menopur.  Wish me luck!!!!!!!!

Good luck to all the ladies TTC!!!  Let's hope this is a good baby making year!!!!!!

This is probably not the normal post for this Friday TTC message but posting anyway. Not sure how many of you know me or know my story but I won the award for being on this Friday post the longest. I am now almost 44 years old and have been done trying for a while. It took me 4 years to get pregnant with my one child which is now a 19 year old daughter named Emily. She is the only child that I will ever have. My reason for posting is to say JUST CALL ME GRANDMA. It's not the ideal situation and I have mixed feelings but Emily is about 5 weeks pregnant. It's a blessing and I am glad she will never know the pain and expense of infertility. She is young and so is the father but life has a way of working out. Thanks to all that supported me.
I post more on Facebook than I do here and have some friends on both. Many family members on FB don't know yet so if you are a friend on both please keep your comments only here for now.

Wow!!! I saw the post on FB and had to run here to find it. I am sure this is not the ideal situation; however, you get to experience the bliss of being s grandma!

Wow, Tami! That is exciting news, even if it isnt how you planned things. Congratulations to you and to Emily! I cant wait to see updates!

Awesome news, Tami!  Grandma at 44 is not bad at all.  I am sure you will be a huge help to Emily!!!  Congrats to you both!

One thing I know for sure is that you will be the best grandma on the planet. I know how upsetting it must be to have your child break that kind of news. Teenagers never cease to surprise us! Sometimes things happen though that bring such great joy out of a not so great situation. Emily is SO lucky to have you as a mother and that baby to have a grandmother who will love and appreciate him so much!

(Plus you are a young hot grandma!)

 Congrats!! I am 24 and my mom is 41 and LOVES being a young Grammy :)
