Uterine/Endometrial Polyps

DH and I have been trying to conceive for over a year now with no success.  Had a consultation at a fertility doctor last week and today had a vaginal ultrasound, in which he found polyps.

Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will have them removed.  Has anyone dealt with these and after removal, did it help your fertility?

We are going to continue with the HSG testing after the polyps are removed, but first things first.

Thanks!

I didn't have polyps, but I did have a hysteroscopy to check for them.  It was explained to me that polyps can affect egg implantation,  but having them removed can benefit fertility because it creates a nice smooth uterus surface and makes for easier implantation.

Good luck to you!!!!  I hope you get your BFP soon!!!!!!!

I had several large endometrial polyps removed 2 months prior to conceiving my, now 18 month old son. My first pregnancy.

Its a simple same day surgery procedure. I was out of the OR in 40 min and released home in 2 hours. Minor menstral cramping and light spotting for a few days. No biggee.
